Title and Summary
Director, Product Management
Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) enables issuers, wallet providers, merchants, and other token requestors to securely digitize Mastercard cards for digital payments. The global MDES organization designs, builds, and operates the platform that powers leading digital wallets and strengthens the global e commerce ecosystem.
The Director, Product Management role is part of the global MDES team and is responsible for leading product management and commercialization for MDES Device Wallets (M4D) across major global wallets, as well as defining and executing the go to market strategy.
Role Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define product requirements for device based wallets.• Partner closely with product architects and engineering teams to define, validate, and optimize technical flows.• Coordinate with project managers to ensure delivery timelines align with customer and market expectations.• Work hand in hand with engineering teams to bring products from concept to launch.• Secure required approvals from legal, data privacy, and compliance teams.• Partner with regional teams to develop and execute go to market strategies.• Conduct competitive analysis and ensure strong product positioning in the market.• Adapt and tailor products to meet regional and market specific needs in collaboration with Mastercard regional teams.• Develop sales enablement materials, customer facing collateral, and executive presentations.• Collaborate with legal teams to structure commercial agreements and contracts.• Work with pricing teams to define pricing strategies aligned with market dynamics.• Lead and execute the end to end go to market strategy for device based wallet solutions.
Qualifications (All About You):
• 15+ years of experience across payments, banking, and digital wallets.• Deep expertise in Secure Element (SE) integrations for device based wallets, leveraging NFC protocols and EMV tokenization to enable secure, autonomous transactions.• Proven strategic leadership in hardware backed payment security, NFC communications, and global EMV tokenization standards.• MBA preferred, ideally complemented by an engineering or technical background.• Strong understanding of financial services, payment infrastructure, and the digital payments ecosystem.• Experience managing and scaling payment products or services.• Familiarity with ISO 8583 messaging and API based integrations.• Strong customer focus with sound business judgment and commercial acumen.• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross functional, global teams to deliver complex initiatives.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.

O'Fallon, Missouri: $156,000 - $265,000 USD
New York City, New York: $187,000 - $318,000 USD
San Francisco, California: $187,000 - $318,000 USD
