Role Description:

We’re seeking a Director of Marketing to lead end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives in our professional installers (B2B) and direct-to-consumer e-commerce channels.  The right candidate has experience in the smart home or consumer electronics industries marketing to professional channel sellers and end user audiences to drive product/brand awareness, demand generation, and all other aspects of and channel lifecycle marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Generation and Conversion Management
    • Lead campaigns that generate awareness, adoption, and measurable business impact for consumer and professional channels.
    • Build and execute marketing assets and programs to support product positioning, demand generation, sales teams, and market education.
    • Partner with product, sales, and customer success teams to plan and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies.
  • Brand Storytelling & Messaging
    • Develop and lead brand storytelling strategies that bring our mission, products, and customer experiences to life.
    • Create and launch marketing campaigns for new products and services and ensure messaging is targeted for both B2B and consumer customers.  Ensure storytelling across products and channels is consistent with brand positioning.
    • Translate complex product capabilities into clear, relatable stories that resonate with both professional and consumer audiences.
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing
    • Oversee and execute the company’s SEO and social media strategy, ensuring spend is optimized to build community, drive awareness, and support business goals.
    • Build, maintain, and execute calendar for virtual engagement initiatives- webinars, blogs, E-mail campaigns, newsletters, etc.
    • Lead creation of engaging, high-performing content tailored for each channel.
    • Monitor analytics, trends, and audience engagement to continually optimize performance and returns from working with agencies.
  • Events Marketing
    • Lead planning and execution for industry events, particularly for the pro-market.
    • Develop and administer events budgets and allocations
    • Collaborate with sales and product teams on goals, messaging, content, etc.
    • Track and report on events spend and ROI
  • Leadership & Collaboration
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, sales, design, operations) to align marketing strategies with business goals.
    • Serve as a key voice of the customer, ensuring initiatives and messaging reflect market needs and insights.
    • Administer budgets and spend. Track and report on ROI for marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of building and executing successful brand and product storytelling campaigns for both consumer and professional audiences.
  • Strong expertise in SEO, social media marketing, content development, and digital campaign execution.
  • Experience leading new product introductions and go-to-market planning.
  • Experience in smart home or adjacent industries.
  • Experience managing e-commerce lifecycle experiences from discovery through conversion.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire internal teams and engage external audiences.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills to measure performance and ROI.
