Specright is the first purpose-built, patented platform for Specification Management. Specright serves customers across industries, including packaging, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical, retail, industrials, and more.

Job Summary

Specright has several key product initiatives that touch every aspect of the business. We're looking for a Director of Product Operations & Program Management to sit at the center of these product activities and ensure alignment across functions. This person will build the operational infrastructure including cross-functional program coordination, release management discipline, and executive-level customer engagement. This person will also work within the product and engineering organizations to help manage product releases and ensure timely and high quality product release delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties

Cross-functional launch coordination

  • Own the end-to-end program plan for new product launches across product, engineering, sales, marketing, implementation, and support.

  • Keep cross-functional teams aligned and delivering on their tracks and deliverables in a timely manner.

  • Identify dependencies and blockers early, and drive resolution across teams that don't report to you.

  • Help the org distinguish "need to have" from "nice to have" under time pressure and build the air cover needed to meet product and business commitments.

Release management & process ownership

  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, communication rhythms, and documentation practices for product releases that scale across products and releases.

  • Bring structure and oversight to release processes and build guardrails that reduce customer-impacting mistakes without slowing releases unnecessarily.

  • Manage product operations tooling and analytics platforms to support the team's workflow.

  • Own the product metrics framework for product line(s) across adoption, engagement, retention, and business impact to inform prioritization and resourcing.

Executive customer engagement

  • Help design and stand up an executive-level customer council.

  • Build a recurring cadence and structure for the council that respects customer executives' time and produces real input into product direction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in product operations, technical program management, or related roles within B2B/enterprise software companies, including ownership of both a formal process (e.g., release management) and ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives with no established playbook.

  • A track record of driving delivery on a brand-new, fast-moving product from early build through customer pilot, coordinating across a large cross-functional group.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority: skilled at articulating value to stakeholders, and knowing when to invoke executive sponsorship versus build consensus directly.

  • Comfortable working with AI-powered tools day-to-day, and able to apply good judgment about where they genuinely add value versus where they don't.

  • Deep understanding of agile product development methodologies and the full product development lifecycle.

  • Proven experience defining and tracking product metrics, building dashboards, and translating data into actionable insights.

  • Strong proficiency with modern product management tools and analytics platforms.

  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to synthesize technical and operational detail into leadership-level insight.

We are an energetic company with an entrepreneurial, informal, versatile, intelligent, and fast-paced culture. We are a 100% remote company and promote an open and relatively flat organization with an emphasis on collaboration, sharing ideas, and information. It's more important to innovate than to worry about making mistakes.

Specright is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
