Job Summary: 

Workit Health is looking for a Director of Revenue Cycle Management to join our team. This individual will work closely with our Operations, Client Success and Finance leadership teams to drive the direction of Workit Health's fast-paced growth from contracting & credentialing through billing and collections.

The Director of Revenue Cycle Management reports to the VP of Revenue Cycle Management and works with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams to help drive the direction of Workit Health's fast-paced growth from contracting and credentialing through billing and collections.

 Core Responsibilities:

Leadership & Manager Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor billing team managers, building leadership capability, succession plans, and team engagement across sub-departments
  • Cascade strategic organizational goals into clear team KPIs, establishing manager-level accountability and performance metrics.
  • Oversee workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource allocation to support scaling operations
  • Serve as the primary internal escalation point for complex operational, interdepartmental, or personnel issues surfaced by management

Strategic Revenue Cycle Management

  • Own end-to-end RCM operations—including claims management, payor follow-up, appeals, denials, and write-offs—across both fee-for-service and value-based contracts
  • Monitor key operational KPIs and benchmarks, establishing departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive continuous process improvement
  • Lead regular data reviews, delivering weekly operational reporting and monthly updates on key RCM metrics to leadership 

Contracting & Credentialing

  • Direct the full payor onboarding lifecycle, overseeing market research, contract applications, CAQH maintenance, re-credentialing, and delegated credentialing
  • Train and upskill managers on contracting, credentialing, and compliance best practices to optimize onboarding timelines

Cross-Functional & Product Innovation

  • Partner directly with the VP and Senior Manager of RCM Strategy to prioritize, design, and implement claims automation initiatives alongside Product and Engineering
  • Coordinate with executive leadership to drive strategic payor launches
  • Execute high-priority strategic and operational projects in alignment with long-term RCM leadership objectives

Qualifications: 

  • CPC and/or CPB required
  • At least 5 years of experience in healthcare leadership
  • Expertise in telemedicine billing and coding for SUD/OUD/G Codes
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to optimize workflows, analyze data, and drive efficiency
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, extract actionable insights, and guide data-informed decision-making. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Proven experience managing, mentoring, and leading lower-level managers or team leads. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in synthesizing metrics into clear, executive-level reports and dashboards. 
  • Persistence when working/communicating with payers
  • Experience working cross-functionally with different teams
  • Experience project managing internal projects
  • Working knowledge of industry best practices in Revenue Cycle processes: billing, charge capture, contractual adjustments, third-party reimbursements, and collections and cash management
  • Fundamental knowledge of revenue integrity (i.e. CPT and ICD-10 coding) and documentation requirements for billing and compliance
  • Comfortable working with the ambiguity of a fast-paced company environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills

Pay range
$118,000—$132,500 USD
