Now a little more about what you could be doing as part of our team and contributing to Swift’s mission and vision. As Director, Sales and Business Development of Autonomous Platforms and New Mobility, you will be responsible for developing revenue-generating partnerships with the world’s leading ADAS/Autonomous Stack and Compute Platform providers, and autonomous mobility companies. The autonomous mobility ecosystem is core to Swift’s strategy to grow our business globally. This position will promote and drive the innovation of our automotive product offerings, and will be key to securing profitable growth in the automotive sector and realizing Swift’s vision. 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Be the company’s leader and champion for building deep technical and commercial partnerships with customers and partners in the autonomous mobility sector in the US, Europe, and Asia.
  • Prospect, engage, and close commercial contracts with strategic customers. 
  • Develop a GTM strategy to access and identify the most efficient and profitable way to secure business in the sector, either directly or in conjunction with our business partners. 
  • Deeply engage and strategize with our Business Partners to secure Proof of Concepts (PoC’s) with common customers that translate into bookable business.
  • Responsible for the generation and maintenance of Mid Term Planning (MTP) and Budget forecasts for the autonomous mobility sector.
  • Generate and maintain customer growth and market segment forecasts and continuously update internal product, engineering, and executive teams. 
  • Create and regularly maintain concise Customer and Partner engagement plans, clearly identifying actions and next steps as well as key risks and associated mitigation plans. with a bias toward action and a clear path to mutual business growth. Review Customer & Partner plans on a  Bi-weekly basis with VP, Automotive and wider customer facing teams. 
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of inbound contracts, including NDAs, statements of work, software IP licenses, and cloud services agreements.
  • Develop productive and lasting senior management relationships with our customers and business partners.
  • Analyze customer and partner technology requirements and feed back to Swift management to influence product roadmaps and business models.
  • Work closely with and support Swift’s Product Marketing team to translate our product and customer roadmaps into clear, concise and highly impactful market and customer communication strategies.
  • Work efficiently with all Swift Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations functions. Synchronize planning and business development with product and sales team colleagues, and champion productive teamwork and alignment of purpose.
  • Actively participate in selected industry functions, such as association events, trade shows and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and competitive trends.

Required Skills/Abilities/Experience

  • 5+ years of business development, sales or project management experience with a successful track record of securing and growing business in Automotive, Telecommunications, IP, Silicon, Enterprise Software or SaaS markets.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
  • Proven success closing revenue-bearing contracts with strategic partners or customers in automotive, silicon, IP, software in the telecommunication / mobile industry.
  • Able to develop, negotiate and close complex royalty, revenue share-based, or subscription agreements.
  • Proven ability to develop and nurture customer relationships.
  • Able to credibly represent Swift and its technologies to Customers and Partners, and to understand the Customer’s issues, needs, and motivations.
  • Ability to influence product roadmaps.
  • Able to synthesize multiple viewpoints, perspectives, and opinions with objective and impartial analysis to solve problems, gain consensus, and drive decisions.
  • Good communication and presentation skills in English, and comfortable presenting at many customer levels - executive, management and engineering teams (both to Partners and within Swift).

We are committed to pay transparency and providing fair compensation to all employees. The salary range for this position across the U.S. is $156,000 to $200,000 USD + equity + benefits annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
