As Director of Sales, you will own revenue execution across all Ever’s markets. You will lead the sales and sales development (“BDC”) functions end-to-end — from first customer contact through signed contract and delivery — and set the standards for how we engage, convert, and retain customers at scale. This is a senior leadership role with direct accountability for volume targets, conversion performance, team development, and customer experience from inquiry to keys in hand.

You will report to the VP of Operations and work closely with the COO and co-founder. You will develop the sales organization playbook for Ever accelerates its growth, expanding nationwide and building the next-generation automotive retail company.

What You’ll Own

Sales Performance & Revenue

  • Own the monthly sales target across all active markets — volume, conversion rate, and gross profit per unit.
  • Drive full funnel performance across all stages of the transaction process.
  • Set and hold weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews across regional and market-based teams.
  • Establish pricing guardrails and closing frameworks that maintain margin while maximizing conversion.
  • Partner cross-functionally to build inventory, pricing, and merchandising strategy.

BDC & Lead Management

  • Own the sales development function — staffing model, response SLAs, lead routing, appointment set rates, and more.
  • Build and maintain the lead-handling playbook across all varieties of inbound and outbound lead channels.
  • Establish and rigorously monitor CRM hygiene and data integrity.
  • Develop the capacity model for the sales development organization as Ever scales, including headcount, tools, workload standards, and more.

Customer Experience & Delivery

  • Own the customer experience from first contact through delivery.
  • Define and enforce delivery standards, including handoff quality, documentation completeness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and execute processes to resolve customer concerns, including warranty issues, post-delivery concerns, or process failures.
  • Partner with the Business Office organization to ensure consistent customer satisfaction in titling and registration matters, across all types of transactions.
  • Track and act on NPS, review scores, and return/cancellation data as leading indicators of experience quality.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, develop, and retain Sales Managers, BDC Managers, Sales Consultants, and BDC Representatives across markets.
  • Build and run a regimented performance management system: goal-setting, coaching, PIPs, and promotions.
  • Own the sales training and onboarding program, spanning product knowledge, process adherence, EV fluency, and other relevant topics.
  • Create the career path framework for high performing team members.

Systems & Enablement

  • Own CRM configuration and adoption.
  • Partner with Program Managers and Operations team to rapidly replicate the sales function in new markets.
  • Drive reporting standards: measurement, cadence, ownership, and more.
  • Work cross-functionally to systematically remove friction in purchase and delivery processes.
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in automotive retail (EV-native preferred).
  • Demonstrated ownership of multi-market sales teams at volume (200+ units/month equivalent).
  • Deep experience running a BDC function, including staffing, SLA design, lead management, and CRM ownership.
  • Track record of building and scaling delivery and customer experience programs.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, with experience using data to drive coaching and process decisioning.
  • Comfort operating in a high-growth, start-up environment: you are comfortable building robust foundations for the business while simultaneously executing.
  • Experience hiring and developing managers.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $170k–$200k base, depending on experience
