Brief summary of role:

The successful candidate will oversee OpenSpace’s regional sales development function, with a primary focus on creating and growing the opportunity pipeline through inbound and outbound programs, including Channel Development, Key Accounts Development and Marketing Coordination. This director will lead a team of talented regional sales development professionals as well as partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Products to contribute to the pipeline and revenue growth efforts.  The director will be accountable for opportunities, pipeline, and revenue targets in the West regions for both new business and expansion accounts.  This leader will own and influence the sales development investment decisions, resource allocation, target setting, and team delivery of the business. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing company with a strong customer and revenue base and help define and grow the content marketing function. What you will be doing:

  • Strategize, plan, execute, manage, and optimize pipeline generation programs and activities for New Business, Customer retention and Expansion, and Strategic Accounts
  • Partner with Sales leadership to identify the outbound target account list and campaigns to build pipeline, exceed business targets defined for the region, including SQLs, Pipeline, and Net New ARR
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of a team of professionals in Sales Development and manage opportunity capacity planning to influence hiring and promotion cycles.
  • Responsible for accurate opportunity forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) leveraging data and supporting metrics
  • Provide regional leadership oversight to the Sales Development teams as well as set expectations with Sales leadership
  • Regularly provide an analysis of the regional competitive environment.
  • Proactively anticipates and mitigates obstacles, risks, and business disruptions 
  • Gleans insight from metrics and uses this information to effectively transform initiatives. Identifies trends and patterns, predicts outcomes, and applies them in meaningful ways throughout all business units.
  • Be the face of OpenSpace in APAC, including media engagements, conferences and industry forums, meetings with local clients and ensure OpenSpace brand and values are reflected locally

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of direct sales experience leading a tech sales initiatives especially in transactional tech sales.
  • 5+ years of experience building and operating enterprise sales development teams in the construction tech industry
  • 2+ years of experience as a second line sales development leader
  • Experience in construction or real estate industry, specifically construction or real estate technology sales
  • Demonstrated experience and success building quality pipeline for startup software and SaaS businesses growing at 3-5x multiple
  • Experience working with global teams required
  • Experience growing and developing a Sales/Marketing team for an undeveloped region is strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of demand and pipeline generation with experience in both inbound and outbound target account strategies
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of metrics and how to effectively analyze and develop action plans from data
  • Strong collaboration abilities with Sales, Marketing, and Product leadership.
  • Acute operational acumen with the ability to leverage data to make business decisions
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills in English  and other regional languages
  • Identifies new opportunities for developing new internal and external customer bases.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote-first organization
  • Entrepreneurial experience preferred
