We are seeking an accomplished Senior Director of Sales to lead, scale, and operationalize VelocityEHS' go-to-market strategy. This role expands beyond frontline leadership to include strategic ownership of revenue growth, multi team leadership, long range planning, and cross departmental alignment at the executive level. The Senior Director of Sales will report directly to the VP of Sales and will serve as a key contributor in shaping corporate revenue strategy, optimizing organizational design, and ensuring sustained performance across multiple sales teams. This is a remote position with approximately 10 to 20% travel for customer engagements, tradeshows, leadership summits, and strategic planning sessions.

The expected On-Target Earnings (OTE = base salary + variable) range for this position is between $268,500 and $403,750 USD (United States) or, $271,150 and $407,900 CAD (Canada), with variable earning opportunities uncapped. We aim to hire between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range and offers at the maximum of the range are uncommon. The final offered salary will be based on candidate's proficiency in skill set, prior relevant experience, internal equity, market considerations, and other factors. This role is eligible for a Variable Pay Program. This role is also eligible for our comprehensive benefits package.

- Own overall revenue performance across multiple sales teams, ensuring consistent attainment of monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Empower and hold managers accountable for team performance, execution discipline, and quota achievement.
- Develop and oversee organizational design, territory strategy, and coverage models to optimize capacity and accelerate pipeline creation.
- Provide day to day leadership to frontline managers focused on coaching, operational excellence, and continuous performance improvement.
- Conduct weekly forecast calls, pipeline reviews, and structured deal coaching with managers to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Implement scalable coaching frameworks, enablement programs, and competency models for managers and sales representatives.
- Lead the development and execution of sales strategies that drive predictable pipeline generation and revenue growth.
- Develop and recruit a talent-rich team and foster a performance-based culture.
- Conduct recurring 1 to 1s with managers, providing guidance, development planning, and performance management.
- Leverage the sales tech stack including Salesforce, Outreach, Navigator, and supporting tools to improve efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and rep productivity.
- Work across cross functional teams including Account Management, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the VP of Sales and Chief Revenue Officer.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales, including 5+ years of successful sales leadership experience specifically with new business and managing managers.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Proven ability to lead organizations through complete sales cycles and complex strategic deals.
- Strong fluency with SaaS sales technology and revenue operations principles.
- Demonstrated experience in forecasting, business strategy and planning.
- Exceptional executive communication skills and presentation capabilities.
- Appetite and capacity to learn quickly and continuously.
- Agile, ready, and able to quickly pivot in a dynamic environment.
