Role Overview:
The Director of Social Media & Content Strategy is a senior role responsible for defining and executing the brand’s social media vision. This individual will oversee the development of platform-specific strategies, lead a team of social media representatives and collaborate cross-functionally with our Creative Director to ensure social media is integrated into broader marketing efforts. This role reports into our VP of Growth. The ideal candidate combines strategic acumen with creativity and a deep understanding of the social media landscape as well as a clear understanding of measurement and KPI’s. 
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Comfrt’s marketing and business objectives.
  • Establish clear KPIs to measure success across platforms, including engagement, reach, traffic, and revenue impact and the halo effect of social media performance on overall site performance.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the brand’s presence on emerging platforms or new features on existing channels.
  • Foster an innovative and experimental culture within the team to test new formats, trends, and campaigns.

Team Management

  • Build and lead a high-performing social media and content team, providing mentorship, guidance, and growth opportunities.
  • Oversee workload distribution, team priorities, and performance reviews.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to align content development with strategic goals.

Platform Expertise

  • Drive excellence across TikTok, Meta (Instagram, Facebook), Snap, Pinterest, and other relevant platforms, ensuring platform-specific best practices.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, tools, and algorithm updates to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Analyze competitor activity to identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Lead the set up and integration of new platforms to optimize workflow and performance e.g. Sproutsocial, integration with Gorgias 

Campaign Management

  • Oversee the ideation, planning, and execution of cross-platform campaigns that amplify brand messaging and drive measurable organic results.
  • Collaborate with performance marketing, email/SMS, and e-commerce teams to align organic social efforts with paid initiatives and revenue-driving goals.
  • Lead influencer and creator partnerships, ensuring alignment with brand values and maximizing ROI.
  • Lead review generation strategy across target review sites and social platforms including Trustpilot, Thingtesting, Meta and TikTok and how we integrate customer reviews into our social media and content strategy. 

Processes/ Operations

  • Streamlining processes across social media monitoring internally ensuring the teams follow Macros/ SLA’s and we are achieving targets (response times and quality of responses/ how they are resolved and or communicated to CX). 
  • Leveraging our tech ecosystem so we are full integrated with Sproutsocial and integration with Gorgias
 

Data & Insights

  • Measuring performance based on agreed KPI’s that support business goals 
  • Producing weekly and monthly report that showcases results, key learnings and recommendations 
 

Collaboration

  • Act as the primary liaison between the social media team and CX ensuring alignment with brand voice and marketing strategy.
  • Partner with product, PR, acquisition, retention and creative teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across all customer touchpoints.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, or content creation.
  • Proven experience in leading and scaling social media teams within a high-growth eCommerce or DTC brand.
  • Track record of driving measurable growth through organic social media initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of TikTok, Meta, Snap, Pinterest and emerging platforms, including their algorithms, audiences, and best practices.
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar social media budgets is a plus.
