Description

About GondolaBio

GondolaBio is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing breakthrough therapeutics for genetic diseases. GondolaBio is an independent sister company to BridgeBio, originally carved out in 2024 after securing $300M in private financing from external investors. GondolaBio aims to leverage cutting-edge biological research to discover, create, test, and deliver transformative medicines to treat patients who suffer from genetic diseases.

The Role
GondolaBio is seeking a Director of Talent to partner closely with the President and leadership team on attracting exceptional talent and building a high-performing, patient-centric organization. Recruiting will be the anchor of the role, with a broader mandate to serve as a practical thought partner on organization design, team effectiveness, and culture. This is a hands-on, high-judgment role for someone who can move fluidly between search execution, sensitive people problem-solving, and consulting-style projects. The emphasis is on talent and organization building rather than traditional HR administration or policy ownership.

What You'll Do

Recruiting & Talent Strategy: Lead key searches end to end, from workforce planning and role definition through talent mapping, assessment, offer development, and closing. Build a strong understanding of the talent market and help GondolaBio attract exceptional leaders and operators, particularly across clinical development and other critical capabilities.

Organization & Leadership Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor on organization design and team effectiveness. Help leaders work through team issues with sound judgment, discretion, and a pragmatic bias toward action.

Compensation & Talent Insights: Develop market-informed perspectives on compensation, leveling, offers, and retention.

Culture, Talent Programs to enable growth and scale: Translate GondolaBio's desired culture into practical mechanisms. Lead high-priority projects that are centered around talent, bringing structure, analysis, and follow-through to ambiguous organizational and business questions.

Who You Are

  • Experience in biotech or life sciences, particularly clinical development, is strongly preferred; deeply motivated by building organizations that deliver meaningful impact for patients
  • A high-judgment, low-ego operator who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • A strong recruiter and talent assessor who can build trusted candidate relationships and close senior hires
  • Experienced across some combination of talent acquisition, people and organization work, consulting, and executive search roles
  • Comfortable analyzing compensation and organizational questions and translating imperfect data into practical recommendations
  • A discreet, trusted partner who can navigate sensitive issues and influence leaders at all levels

Requirements

  • Must be motivated by delivering life changing medicine to patients
  • Two to Five years recruiting senior  executives
  • Experience with life sciences strongly preferred
  • Experience working with high level organizational functions

What We Offer

  • Patient Days, where we are fortunate to hear directly from individuals living with the conditions we are seeking to impact throughout the year and learn how we can improve our efforts.
  • A culture inspired by our values: put patients first, think independently, be radically transparent, every minute counts, and let the science speak.
  • An unyielding commitment to always putting patients first.
  • A decentralized model that enables our program teams to focus on advancing science and helping patients. Our affiliate structure is designed to eliminate bureaucracy and put decision-making power in the hands of those closest to the science.
  • A place where you own the vision – both for your program and your own career path.
  • A collaborative, fast-paced, data-driven environment where we inspire ourselves and each other to always perform at the top of our game.
  • Access to learning and development resources to help you get in the best professional shape of your life.
  • Robust and market-competitive compensation & benefits package (Base, Performance Bonus, Equity, health, welfare & retirement programs).
  • Flexible PTO.
  • Rapid career advancement for strong performers.
  • Potential ability to work on multiple GondolaBio Pharma programs across multiple therapeutic areas over time.
  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $189,000 to $240,000 per year. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on a number of job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. A bonus plan and equity will also be offered.

Equal Employment Opportunity

GondolaBio ServiceCo is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
