Position Summary

We’re looking for a Director of Technical Accounting to lead financial reporting, technical accounting, and corporate accounting initiatives across the organization. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth and strategic initiatives.

This is a high-impact leadership role that combines technical accounting expertise, operational execution, and team leadership in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of external financial reporting
  • Ensure timely, accurate reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support quarterly debt compliance reporting and annual filings
  • Monitor evolving accounting standards and assess impact to the business

Technical Accounting Leadership

  • Serve as the technical accounting expert for complex transactions including: Lease, Equity, Cloud computing arrangements, Impairments and other non-standard transactions
  • Draft and maintain technical accounting memos and policies
  • Partner with Legal, FP&A, Treasury, and Tax on strategic initiatives and accounting implications

Corporate Accounting & Close

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for corporate entities
  • Ensure accurate accounting for: Intercompany transactions, Allocations, Consolidations
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure SOX compliance

Leadership & Cross-Functional Impact

  • Lead and develop a high-performing technical accounting team
  • Drive improvements across reporting, systems, and internal controls
  • Partner closely with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and senior leadership on financial analysis, disclosures, and strategic initiatives

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Strong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting expertise
  • Experience leading financial reporting and close processes
  • Background supporting audits and SOX environments
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with finance and business teams
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to scale processes
  • Experience in SaaS or high-growth environments preferred
