About Eve

Eve is redefining legal technology for plaintiff law firms, and we're building the team that will take us there. We help firms handle more cases, recover more for clients, and grow with AI that works across every stage of a case, from intake through resolution. The next generation of great plaintiff firms will be AI-Native, and Eve is how they get there. But what makes Eve different isn't just the product. It's how we build it. If you're someone who takes ownership, stays curious, and wants to build AI that's already changing how  law is practiced, this is where you belong.

Product-market fit: Eve is trusted by over 1000+ law firms, and we’re growing fast.
Backed by top investors: We’ve raised over $160M from world-class partners including Spark Capital, Andreessen Horowitz(A16z), Menlo Ventures, and Lightspeed.
Built by a world-class team: Engineers, designers, and operators from places like Scale, Meta, Airbnb, Cruise, Square, Rubrik, and Lyft are building Eve from the ground up.
AI-Native from day one: We’re on the bleeding edge of AI, collaborating directly with teams at OpenAI and Anthropic to build best-in-class AI workflows tailored for legal work.
Explosive growth: We are growing 2X revenue Quarter over Quarter.

The Role

We’re hiring our first Director of Video Storytelling to own every frame Eve puts into the world; from our biggest brand campaigns, to the ad that stops a plaintiff attorney mid-scroll, to the product film that makes a launch feel like an event.

This is a maker’s role at the top of the craft. You’re a full-stack video creator: dangerous in After Effects, fluent in motion graphics, confident behind the camera, a magician in the editing bay. You’ve directed the shoot, lit the room, and saved the story in the edit when the footage didn’t cooperate. You’ve been an ambitious adopter of generative AI tools for video, and know when and how to use them — and when not to. You’ll set the creative bar for video at Eve.

You’ll build our in-office content studio at our San Francisco office from the ground up; the space, the gear, the workflows, and the production motion that lets us concept, shoot, and ship high-quality content quickly. Company announcements, brand stories, ads, product releases, and social campaigns, produced in-house at a level that makes people ask which agency we use.

You won’t do it alone. You’ll build a roster of contractors, agencies, and external partners who extend your reach on our biggest campaigns, and over time you’ll hire the in-house team that makes video a competitive advantage across every one of Eve’s go-to-market motions; brand, demand, product marketing, events, and social. You’ll partner closely with the leader of our social channels; they own where the work lives, you own the craft that fills it.

If you have a portfolio of world-class work, if you think in frames and cuts, if you’ve ever rebuilt a set at midnight because the shot wasn’t right yet, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Own video at Eve end-to-end. Brand campaigns, video ads, product releases, company announcements, event films, and organic social video; from treatment to color grade.
  • Create our biggest brand campaigns. Develop the concepts and treatments, direct the shoots, and deliver films that make plaintiff attorneys feel something about Eve.
  • Make video ads that perform. Produce the ad creative behind our paid motions; think in hooks and variants, iterate with the growth team, and let the data argue with your taste.
  • Oversee organic social video. Set the quality bar, build the formats and templates that let social ship daily, and jump behind the camera when the moment deserves it.
  • Build Eve’s in-office content studio. Design the space in our San Francisco office, spec the gear, and build the workflows that make high-quality production an everyday capability, not a quarterly event.
  • Produce the work yourself, not just brief it. Write, direct, shoot, animate, and edit. You are the production motion until you build the one that replaces you.
  • Build our motion graphics system. Create the After Effects toolkits, templates, and animation language that make everything Eve ships unmistakably Eve.
  • Build the roster. Find and manage the contractors, agencies, and external partners who execute alongside you; write briefs that make outside work look in-house, and hold every deliverable to your standard.
  • Hire and lead an in-house video team. Start hands-on with a budget to build, and grow the function into a durable competitive advantage.
  • Run the budget. Real money for gear, contractors, and productions. Decide where it goes, place bets that won’t pay off evenly, and be honest about which ones worked.
  • Partner across go-to-market. Give sales, demand gen, product marketing, events, and recruiting the video firepower their motions deserve.
  • Own the numbers. Watch-time, completion, creative performance; build the measurement that separates a video that looked great from a video that worked, and be the one who says which is which.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years in video production and creative, including time owning video for a brand people recognize.
  • A portfolio of world-class work; we will watch every frame. Show us range: brand films, ads, motion graphics, and short-form that broke out.
  • A genuine full-stack maker; you personally write, direct, shoot, animate, and edit, and you’re dangerous in After Effects.
  • Deep motion graphics and animation craft; type, timing, and transitions that hold up next to the best work in tech.
  • Real, demonstrated expertise with cutting-edge AI video tools and workflows. You have examples in your portfolio that demonstrate your ability here.
  • Camera skills; directing talent (including executives and real people, not just actors), lighting, sound, and the on-set judgment to get the shot with the time you have.
  • Editing chops; story structure, pacing, sound design, and color that elevate raw footage into something people finish.
  • Experience building production infrastructure; you’ve set up a studio, a gear package, or a production pipeline from scratch and know what it takes to run one.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, agencies, and freelance crews; you know how to buy great work, not just make it.
  • Range across formats; the same week can demand a 90-second brand film, a 15-second vertical cut, and a looping product animation.
  • Excellent taste and story instincts. Our audience is attorneys and top-tier operators; they notice everything.
  • Comfort building from zero and leading a team as it grows.
Bonus Points
  • You’ve built an in-house studio or video team at a startup, gear specs and all.
  • Documentary experience; you know how to get real people to say true things on camera.
  • Experience marketing to attorneys, professional services buyers, or another skeptical, high-expertise audience.
  • Color grading and sound design skills strong enough to finish work without outside help.
  • Experience producing AI-assisted video workflows and pushing new production tools into daily use.
  • You’ve worked at a company going through hypergrowth and thrived in the chaos.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Eve and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
