About Luma AI
Luma is building multimodal AI to expand human imagination. We are a "full stack" intelligence lab - we train our own foundation models (like Ray 3), build our own products (like Dream Machine), and manage our own nation-state level infrastructure (Project Halo). We are in the "Goldilocks Zone": the agility of a ~100-person startup combined with the massive compute resources of a major lab.
Where You Come In
We move faster than our job board. Often, the most critical roles - the ones inventing new UI primitives, solving 2GW compute scheduling, or defining the next GTM motion - are filled before we even write a job description.
This is the Builder's Bench. By dropping your info here, you aren't just joining a mailing list; you are giving us the signal to fast-track you when the right zero-to-one opportunity opens.
Why Apply Here?
- Skip the Queue: We mine this pool before posting new roles publicly.
- Signal, Not Noise: Get updates on what we’re actually building - beta invites to new models, R&D demos, and technical deep dives - not corporate newsletters.
- Direct Line: Skip the standard resume screen. If your profile shows "high slope," you jump straight to technical chats.
Who We Are Scouting For
We are always looking for "high agency" talent across our four core pillars:
Research & ML Infrastructure
- The Mission: Training "World Models" on petascale multimodal data.
- Roles: Foundation Models, Post-Training (RLHF/DPO), Data Infrastructure, HPC/Supercomputing, Systems Research.
Product Engineering
- The Mission: Changing careers from building SaaS to building "Intelligence Products".
- Roles: Full-Stack (Web/Editor), Mobile (iOS), Platform APIs, Quality & Test Automation.
- Litmus Test: We look for engineers who are already using AI agents to accelerate their own coding.
Go-To-Market
- The Mission: Selling a transformation, not just a tool, to a Trillion Dollar TAM (Studios, Enterprise, Creative).
- Roles: Growth Marketing, Enterprise Sales, Community, Technical Support.
Operations & Strategy
- The Mission: "Single-person departments" managing insane budgets and running the show.
- Roles: Finance, Legal, Recruiting, People Ops.
You Might Be a Fit If...
- You are "High Slope": We care more about your trajectory and rate of learning than years of experience.
- You Ship: You build scrappy 0→1 products or research prototypes and put them in front of users.
- You Obsess Over Quality: Whether it's "buttery-smooth" UI or model fidelity, you care about the details.
- You Show Your Work: Demos > Buzzwords. We want to see your GitHub, your papers, your side projects, or your portfolio.
How to Stand Out
- Drop the Generic Cover Letter: Tell us specifically which team excites you and why.
- Attach Evidence: Links to GitHub, portfolios, or Google Scholar profiles are worth 10x a resume.
- Be Direct: If you have a specific thesis on video generation or multimodal AI, let us know.
Ready to build the future? Hit "Apply" and let's see what you've got.
About LumaLuma’s mission is to build unified general intelligence that can generate, understand, and operate in the physical world.
We believe that multimodality is critical for intelligence. To go beyond language models and build more aware, capable and useful systems, the next step function change will come from vision. So, we are working on training and scaling up multimodal foundation models for systems that can see and understand, show and explain, and eventually interact with our world to effect change.
