What Makes This Role Great:
In this role, you will be at the heart of product innovation, taking electronic board designs from initial concept all the way through to full-scale production. You will directly shape the architecture and reliability of embedded systems that drive industry-leading precision positioning and wireless technology.
 
Key Exciting Responsibilities:
• Spearhead board-level design, component selection, schematic creation, and PCB layout for next-generation GNSS and communications hardware.
• Drive embedded digital architecture and mixed-signal validation to ensure robust hardware performance.
• Execute comprehensive design verification test plans, utilizing advanced lab equipment and automated test scripts to debug and resolve complex circuit challenges.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across engineering teams to seamlessly integrate sensors, power management, and circuit protection into complete system solutions.
 
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with strong core knowledge of circuit fundamentals and schematic design.
• Hands-on experience building, debugging, and validating embedded digital circuits, microcontrollers, and power supply designs.
• Proficiency with standard EDA design tools like Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or OrCAD alongside common lab tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Familiarity with serial communication protocols including USB, CAN, SPI, and I2C.
 
Bonus Points For:
• Working knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as C, C++, or Python for test automation.
• Experience defining project scope and technical deliverables based on product requirements.

Compensation:  Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
