POSITION SUMMARY

The Email Marketing Specialist plays a key role in the planning, execution, and optimization of email marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for managing audience segmentation, building and deploying emails, supporting QA processes, and driving continuous improvements in email performance. The Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate campaign execution that aligns with strategic marketing goals. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and a proactive, data-driven approach to problem-solving.

POSITION TYPE

This is a temp-to-permanent position. This hire will start on a contract basis and be given the opportunity to convert to a permanent employee typically around 6 months to a year, depending on performance and business needs.  


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Campaign Execution: Plan, build, and execute diverse email campaigns, including newsletters, GTM initiatives, and lifecycle/triggered automations.
  • Production & QA: Maintain and optimize audience segmentation and campaign workflows within the email marketing platform (Eloqua). Manage the end-to-end production schedule to ensure on-time delivery while conducting rigorous QA.
  • Collaboration: Partner with content and design teams to develop brand-aligned assets and coordinate tasks using project management tools (Wrike).
  • Reporting: Monitor campaign metrics, generate reports, and provide insights and recommendations to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Optimization: Analyze performance trends to identify growth opportunities and implement data-driven solutions that increase engagement and ROI. Maintain a testing roadmap to optimize subject lines, CTAs, and layouts based on statistical significance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of email marketing experience with a focus on campaign or project management; healthcare or life sciences experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing and automation platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot).
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including deliverability, audience segmentation, A/B testing, dynamic content, and performance analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage several campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally using project management tools (e.g., Wrike or Asana)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Technical Aptitude: Proficient in using email marketing tools and basic understanding of HTML/CSS for email formatting.
  • Time Management: Capable of managing overlapping campaigns and deadlines efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on QA and accuracy in campaign execution.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret campaign performance metrics and use data to optimize future email strategy.
  • Integrity & Professionalism: Strong work ethic, accountability, and a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Google Workspace Proficiency: Working knowledge of Google Sheets for data manipulation and reporting, and Google Slides for presenting campaign performance and insights.
  • Collaboration: Effective team player who can work virtually with various stakeholders to bring email campaigns to life.
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
