The Opportunity

Commvault is seeking an Emerging Cloud Native Account Executive to drive new business and expand our footprint in the SaaS market. This role targets accounts that are heavily invested in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, particularly organizations that are native to the cloud environment. The ideal candidate is a tenured professional with a strong hunter mentality, capable of managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to purchase order closure.

What you’ll do…

  • Target and penetrate whitespace accounts in the cloud-native ecosystem, identifying opportunities for new account growth among heavy spenders on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new clients, leveraging in-depth knowledge of the cloud services market and competitor landscape.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle, from initial contact and discovery through contract negotiation and closing, maintaining responsibility for achieving sales quotas.
  • Conduct in-depth research to understand the specific needs of each prospect, tailoring presentations and proposals to align closely with their business objectives and cloud strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target accounts, establishing Commvault as a trusted partner in cloud data management solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to ensure that presentations and demos effectively communicate the value proposition of our solutions in the context of cloud-native operations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales and customer interactions within CRM systems.
  • Travel to customer sites, partner events, and tradeshows to engage with prospects and enhance market presence.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities for account growth.

Who you are…

  • Preferred 1-2 years of relevant experience in software or SaaS sales, ideally with a strong track record of cold calling and closing high-value deals.
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience in the cloud technology space, particularly with SaaS products and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong hunter mindset with the ability to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in a competitive environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with a history of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a cloud-native sales environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales enablement tools to manage sales processes and customer engagements effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to operate independently and as part of a broader sales team.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with prospects, attend industry events, and maintain a high level of market visibility.

$72,250$115,000 USD
