Agilent is seeking an Employee Communications Director to lead the strategy and execution of Employee Communications that inform, engage, and inspire employees globally. This role partners closely with senior leaders to translate business priorities, transformation initiatives, and culture into clear, compelling storytelling across multiple channels. The director ensures consistency of voice, drives employee engagement, and builds strong, trusted connections between leadership and the broader Agilent team.
The work you do will be approachable and authentic and will reinforce Agilent’s mission and culture. This role reports to the vice president of Enterprise Communications and requires the ability to understand and communicate big-picture ideas and programs to influence, educate, engage, and inform our employees around the world.
The ideal candidate is looking for both a challenge and the opportunity to build an even stronger, more engaging Employee Communications program. You must be able to think strategically while also overseeing the day-to-day activities. Creatively seeking new ways to improve communications and employee engagement is a key element of the role as are outstanding writing and editing skills. The role requires people-management skills with three direct reports.
Responsibilities
Create and executive employees-communications strategy that aligns and supports Enterprise Communications strategy.
Lead and direct a three-person team while effectively collaborating across the Enterprise Communications function and with partners across the company.
Oversee production and dissemination of communications to 18,000 employees around the world across multiple channels and platforms.
Ensure communications content is compelling and aligned with Agilent’s voice and tone.
Guide storytelling efforts for key projects across the company and develop compelling campaigns and content to support global initiatives.
Maintain a strategic and well-balanced internal communications editorial calendar and deliver regular employee-communications content.
Look for creative and effective ways to reach the broad employee audience.
Direct and influence content produced by other groups and individuals across the company so that it is aligned with overall quality and approach to messaging.
Develop compelling campaigns and content to support global, companywide initiatives.
Partner with team of global communicators to coordinate content and ensure sufficient cadence of content from sites around the world.
Coordinate with marketing and external-communications teams on Agilent.com content to ensure consistency of messaging with internal comms and to avoid duplication of effort.
Define, track, and measure the success of employee-communication strategies and campaigns. Make necessary adjustments to increase employee engagement and understanding.
Serve as a “trusted adviser” on employee communications issues, strategic approaches, and communication tactics, working closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer and the Human Resources Leadership Team.

Location
This role requires on-site presence at our Santa Clara, California, headquarters three days a week or more, depending on business needs
Candidates must be available to work and or commute on-site, and relocation is not provided at this time.
7-10+ years of internal communications experience.
Degree in communications, journalism, or related field highly preferred.
Proven record in developing and executing compelling internal communications strategies and programs - at scale and around the globe.
Exceptional copywriting and editing skills.
Well-versed in Associated Press style.
Previous people management experience.
Ability to capture the authentic voice of the CEO and the company while helping to shape the internal communications narrative.
Confidence and ability to effectively lead, manage, and execute multiple projects concurrently.
Strong familiarity with Office 365 and related collaboration tools.
Knowledge of SharePoint and demonstrated ability to update and strategically manage intranet content.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least May 4, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $180,000.00 - $281,250.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
