About the Role

This position will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of full-stack agentic AI applications.  These apps can have different maturity levels from early concepts with mockups to minimum viable product (MVPs) and production ready applications. To ensure proper user experience underlying problems and demands must be discussed with the internal customer and team to allow the clean design of the workflow that needs to be implemented.

The primary focus is creating measurable value for end users through intuitive, efficient, and reliable AI-powered solutions. Beyond core functionality such as agentic workflows, data integration, and engineering tool connectivity through MCP servers, delivering a high-quality user experience through intuitive UI/UX design is a key success factor. 

Typical R&D application development begins with analyzing engineering processes and identifying bottlenecks that reduce efficiency, quality, or scalability.  The role will work together with other R&D teams and internal customers.

Your Responsibilities

• Salary: $ 84,500-115,200 annually (TBC)
• Immediate, open position
• Evaluation of technologies and product designs with compliance to scientific principles, engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements and related specifications
• Support the development of innovative components and modules from the initial concept phase through the complete development process including design engineering, validation, prototyping, testing, and evaluation of the proposed production capable process and business case
• Contribute to team effort by providing innovative ideas for products and processes and by sharing new information with other team members
• Provide engineering support to other departments within the company as directed by the department leader
• Manage innovation projects by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, resolving technical issues with engineering teams, maintaining documentation systems, and preparing progress reports

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering including but not limited to: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence
• 2 years or more experience in SW / AI related Industry
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Hands-on experience developing agentic AI applications using frameworks and platforms such as CrewAI, LangGraph, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Model Context Protocol (MCP), including agent orchestration, tool integration, and workflow design.
• Experience in cloud deployment (docker, azure, databricks, …)
• Proficient in programming Python and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Proficient with development tools including Git version control, Linux terminal, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with different data structures, data bases – knowledge graphs
• Experience in frontend web development (next.js, react, …)
