The Role
As an Engineering Intern at Capco, you’ll join our Financial Services consulting teams working with leading banks, payments providers, and wealth management firms. This internship is designed for students who enjoy structured problem-solving at the intersection of technology, data, and business strategy. You’ll contribute to real client engagements while learning how modern financial institutions design, transform, and scale their platforms.
What You’ll Do
Support technology-enabled transformation projects across banking, payments, capital markets, and wealth management
Analyze business processes, system architectures, and data flows within financial services environments
Build quantitative analyses, dashboards, models, or lightweight prototypes to support client decisions
Assist with requirements definition, process mapping, and solution design for technology and operations initiatives
Prepare clear, client-ready materials including presentations, summaries, and research outputs
What We’re Looking For
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (e.g. Computer, Software, Systems, Industrial, Electrical, or related field)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Ability to translate technical concepts into practical business insights
Exposure to programming, data analysis, visualization tools, or systems/process design
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative working style
Bonus Points For
Interest in financial services, fintech, or digital transformation
Familiarity with Python, SQL, Java, or similar languages
Experience working on team-based projects or case competitions
Curiosity about emerging technologies such as cloud, data platforms, or AI
Comfort learning in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

The salary this position is $23/hr to $25/hr (Canadian dollars).
