The Role
As a Lead Database Administrator - Supra, you will lead the legacy modernization team, focusing on the management and optimization of Supra databases within IBM mainframe environments. This is a hybrid role requiring four days per week in the Toronto office, working closely with application and infrastructure teams to ensure performance, stability, and scalability.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, configure, and maintain Supra databases on IBM mainframe systems
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, including capacity planning
  • Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
  • Oversee database security, access controls, and compliance requirements
  • Provide technical support and guidance to application teams using Supra

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in Database Administration
  • Strong expertise in Supra, IBM z/OS, COBOL, JCL, and CICS
  • Experience supporting legacy systems and modernization initiatives
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to manage priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Points For

  • Experience leading or mentoring DBA teams
  • Exposure to modernization or migration programs
  • Familiarity with financial services environments
  • Knowledge of automation or scripting within mainframe environments

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is listed below. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary/variable bonus payment.
