Engineering Manager, Identity and Access Management

The “Identity and Access Management” group -IAM-  is responsible for the authentication and authorization of human and system users across our platform. These teams together ensure that all users can securely and seamlessly access the necessary resources while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our systems.

Given the critical nature of these functions, the group operates with a paramount focus on reliability. Even minor disruptions to authentication or authorisation processes can have significant impacts on our normal operations. Therefore, the team is dedicated to building and maintaining robust, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.

As a Team Lead within the Identity and Access Management group, you will bear technical responsibility for these vital systems. You will work in close collaboration with the other two teams in IAM, but also with other product teams and a diverse range of stakeholders across the company, ensuring that our solutions not only meet technical excellence but also align with broader business objectives and user needs.

  • Ensure high performance by mentoring and coaching engineers, setting a high-quality bar.
  • Foster an inspiring and inclusive team culture of ownership, autonomy, collaboration, accountability and open communication/feedback.
  • Effectively manage stakeholders throughout the company.
Who you are
  • You have 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams and delivering impactful, scalable solutions.
  • You bring a strong foundation in software engineering, with deep system design skills and hands-on experience in technologies such as Java, Postgres and Redis.
  • Reliability and scalability are priorities for you, and you have experience working with critical, high-load, distributed systems.
  • You are hands-on and collaborative, engaging deeply together with your team’s work while fostering a supportive and learning-driven environment.
  • You set a high bar and ensure your team delivers high-quality, maintainable code and solutions that scale.
  • You are a strong mentor and coach, helping your team grow while maintaining high performance and accountability.
