About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Roku engineering team, which is responsible for building and maintaining applications on Roku devices. In this role, you will focus on people leadership, execution, and cross-functional alignment, partnering closely with Product, Design, and QA to deliver the best possible anime fan experiences.

You will:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers working on Roku applications
  • Own team execution, delivery predictability, and quality outcomes
  • Partner with Product, Design, and QA to plan and deliver roadmap commitments
  • Facilitate technical discussions and support architectural decision-making
  • Ensure healthy engineering processes, release readiness, and operational excellence
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management
  • Foster a strong, inclusive, and accountable team culture

In the role of Engineering Manager, you will report to the Senior Director of Engineering in the Fan Experiences Engineering group. We are considering applicants for the location of San Francisco.

About You

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • You have 2+ years of experience in managing and leading engineering teams
  • You have strong people leadership and delivery management skills
  • You have experience working on consumer-facing applications, ideally in streaming or media
  • You're able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
  • You're familiar with Roku development (BrightScript, SceneGraph)
About the Team

The Roku team is responsible for building and maintaining our Crunchyroll apps for Roku streaming devices and TVs. Our goal is to produce a robust application that delivers content that will delight and engage our audiences, partners and internal stakeholders. We embody Crunchyroll’s collaborative spirit, and work closely with various internal teams to engineer scalable solutions that can be shared across all client platforms.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
