Engineering Program Manager – Hardware

What does a successful Engineering Program Manager do at Fiserv?

Join our dynamic Hardware Engineering team, a critical part of Clover's mission to revolutionize point-of-sale systems! As an Engineering Program Manager, you'll be at the heart of bringing our innovative POS hardware to life, driving product integration from initial concept through continuous improvement. This is your chance to lead exciting hardware initiatives and make a tangible impact on products used by businesses every day.

What you will do:

  • You'll take charge of the entire product lifecycle for Clover's hardware, from early concept through EVT (Engineering Validation Test), DVT (Design Validation Test), and PVT (Production Validation Test), ensuring our products are top-notch.
  • You'll collaborate closely with our Hardware and System Software engineers, guiding the continuous improvement and successful delivery of our hardware products.
  • We'll rely on you to build and manage comprehensive program plans and schedules, keeping us on track for the successful launch and ongoing production of Clover hardware.
  • You'll be the linchpin, coordinating with Hardware, Software, and Certification teams to ensure the timely delivery of all Clover hardware components.
  • You'll manage the crucial supply of hardware test devices to enable external labs to complete essential payment certifications like PCI/PTS, EMVCo, and P2PE.
  • You'll cultivate strong relationships with our key Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) partners, ensuring efficient execution of our manufacturing plans.
  • You'll identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement and increased efficiency across our program management processes.

What you will need to have:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of experience in technical environment leading programs, education and military. 
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience developing world-class hardware products, including a strong understanding of EVT, DVT, and PVT stages.
  • Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools to manage and track project progress.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus in ambiguous situations.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-volume hardware products with consistency and quality.

What would be great to have:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both within your team and when interacting with leadership and partners.
  • A solid understanding of reliability and quality methods and requirements for hardware.
  • Experience with Android-based devices.
  • Experience with FinTech or payment technologies.

Salary Range

$120,000.00 - $198,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
