At some point in the future, every business will answer their phone with voice AI. We are building the platform that lets them optimize these AI agents for performance.
Phonely builds conversational voice AI agents for high-volume phone workflows. Our customers use us to qualify leads, book appointments, route calls, and resolve real customer conversations in production. We are growing fast and need someone who can close large, complex deals with enterprise buyers.
About the Role
We're hiring an Enterprise Account Executive who can own revenue end-to-end and bring a meaningful network of buyers who run or rely on call centers. This role is for an AE with a real book of business. You have relationships with decision-makers at companies that use call centers. You do not need to have sold this exact product category before. You do need to know the people.
You'll be one of the first dedicated enterprise sellers at Phonely. That means you'll have a direct line to the CEO, influence over how the sales org gets built, and a path to leadership that's measured in months, not years. We've won deals against every competitor in the space. We need someone who can take what's working and scale it.
If you're the kind of AE who wants to be a cog in a large sales machine, this isn't for you. If you want to build something and own it, keep reading.
What You'll Do
• Own a quota and full-cycle deals from first meeting through close
• Source pipeline through your network plus targeted outbound
• Lead discovery around call flows, booking rules, transfers, QA, and compliance constraints
• Build champions and multi-thread across Ops, Revenue, CX, and technical stakeholders
• Drive a structured deal process: mutual action plans, evaluation criteria, ROI, security, procurement
• Partner with Solutions and CS to scope pilots and proof-of-concepts
• Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene and forecasting
• Capture product feedback and market intel from every conversation
• Represent Phonely at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
What You'll Bring
• 5+ years closing experience (mid-market and/or enterprise)
• Demonstrable book of business with call center operators or executives
• Experience selling into insurance, home services, pay-per-call, BPOs, lead gen, or high-volume phone businesses
• Strong discovery and executive communication, outcomes over features
• Comfortable with technical topics at a practical level
• High ownership, strong follow-up, consistent deal control
Nice to Have
• Existing relationships with call center leaders

• Experience with Twilio, Ringba, Five9, Genesys, NICE, Talkdesk, Dialpad, Aircall, ServiceTitan, Salesforce, or HubSpot
• Previous experience at an early-stage company
• Background in voice AI or conversational AI
Why Join Phonely
We are a team of ex-athletes, founders, and builders with low egos and high standards. We take the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. Remote-friendly for this role, quarterly offsites to interesting places (Rocky Mountains, Costa Rica, Indonesia), and meaningful equity in a company that is growing fast. You will work directly with the CEO and have real ownership over how enterprise sales gets built at Phonely.
Interview Process
1. 15-min intro call to evaluate fit
2. Deep dive on sales experience and network with a team member
3. Case study: walk us through how you'd approach a target enterprise account
4. Final conversation with leadership
