As a Senior Principal Enterprise Data Governance Manager at Epicor, you will be responsible for establishing and scaling our enterprise-wide data governance practice. You will design and deploy a unified governance framework across key business functions, ensuring alignment, consistency, and transparency of core KPIs and critical metrics. Working cross-functionally, you will serve as a strategic authority on data definitions, ownership, and governance standards while driving automation-first governance solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.
What you will be doing:
  • Design and operationalize a unified enterprise data governance framework across core business domains.
  • Define and implement data ownership, stewardship roles, policies, and governance controls.
  • Establish and manage governance processes for enterprise KPIs, including change control and metric standardization.
  • Lead the implementation of automation-driven governance solutions, embedding controls into data pipelines, semantic layers, and reporting environments.
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, and business teams to ensure data quality, lineage visibility, and metric certification.
  • Establish and lead a cross-functional Data Council to drive alignment, prioritization, and issue resolution across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement of governance processes through KPIs, maturity benchmarks, and evolving best practices.
What you will likely bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or data strategy within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience building and scaling enterprise data governance programs.
  • Strong experience standardizing KPIs and managing metric definition governance processes.
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks using modern data platforms and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
What could set you apart:
  • Experience establishing and leading enterprise Data Councils or governance committees.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, semantic modeling, and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience within SaaS, ERP, or enterprise software environments.
  • Familiarity with governance tooling such as data catalog, lineage, workflow, and data quality platforms.
  • Experience or exposure to MDM, data lineage, and AI-enabled governance solutions.

Range:

Minimum: $120,000 USD Maximum: $204,000 USD

The salary range provided reflects the national average for this job title and does not represent compensation specific to Epicor Software Corporation. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and market factors relevant to the position.
