About OpenRouter

OpenRouter is the leading AI routing and infrastructure layer that developers and enterprises use to access, manage, and optimize their AI use across models and providers. We help our customers avoid lock-in, capacity constraints, and unnecessary cost, giving them the flexibility to move fast, scale confidently, and stay future-proof as models evolve.

As enterprise adoption of AI accelerates, OpenRouter sits at the center of how organizations deploy leading open and proprietary models across research, development, and production workloads.

About the Role

We're hiring our first dedicated Enterprise Product Manager to give the world’s largest organizations access to OpenRouter’s market-leading model catalog while keeping them in control of their policies and costs. Too often, we see employees at enterprises stuck using a single model family and unable to experiment with bleeding edge AI capabilities. To clear the path for these customers, you’ll own a broad product surface: identity and access, governance, security, spend controls, admin tooling, and the growth engine that turns organic adoption into a company-wide deployment.

This is a high-ownership role at the intersection of product and go-to-market. You'll work closely with Fortune 100 design partners, translating procurement, security, observability, and compliance requirements into a roadmap that unlocks the next tier of enterprise adoption. You'll partner closely with our Enterprise Account Executives, Forward Deployed Engineers, and Customer Success team to convert deal signal into shipped product. We’ll also give you industry-leading tools: our business processes are built from the ground up to be AI-native and we create room for experimentation across the entire model ecosystem to accelerate our own work.

This role is for you if you have moved a product up-market, navigated security reviews and procurement processes, and felt the difference between a feature that demos well and one that closes an enterprise-wide contract. We're looking for someone with high product taste who has built analytics-heavy, technical products and operated inside a true enterprise, sales-led motion.

What You'll Do

  • Own the enterprise roadmap end to end, from what it takes to get through procurement and security review, to driving daily usage and expansion across the account.

  • Partner directly with Fortune 100 design partners. Turn their requirements into a roadmap, ship against it, and use them as the forcing function for enterprise-grade quality.

  • Build the core enterprise platform: RBAC and granular permissions, SSO/SAML and SCIM provisioning, admin and governance controls, org/team management, data privacy and residency, compliance standards, and the spend controls finance and IT expect.

  • Identify opportunities to differentiate OpenRouter for the enterprise by studying emerging trends in AI and making them enterprise-accessible.

  • Drive land-and-expand. Design the product motion that grows one team of developers using OpenRouter into an organization-wide rollout.

  • Be the voice of the enterprise customer internally. Join sales calls and on-site visits; use that signal to ship what will close deals and make our enterprise customers successful.

  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, security, and customer success to ship and drive enterprise outcomes.

  • Raise the bar on craft. Bring strong product taste and judgment to a surface where trust, clarity, and details directly determine whether an enterprise fully adopts OpenRouter.

About You

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years building enterprise products, and a track record of moving a product up-market.

  • You've built analytics-heavy, technically deep products with high taste, ideally at a data/analytics or forward-deployed platform serving sophisticated, technical users.

  • You've operated inside a real enterprise, sales-led GTM motion: Fortune 500 customers, multi-stakeholder deals, and the procurement gauntlet that comes with them.

  • Fluency with IT, security, and admin buyer personas. You know what it takes to roll out software at scale and what makes a security team say yes.

  • Hands-on familiarity with enterprise-readiness primitives: RBAC, SSO/SAML, SCIM, audit logs, and governance/compliance.

  • Strong technical judgment. You're comfortable going deep with engineers on infrastructure, APIs, and security tradeoffs.

  • High agency and a bias toward action. You talk to customers, you iterate, you ship, and you thrive in a small, fast-moving environment with intentionally fluid team boundaries.

  • Excellent written communication and a collaborative working style with engineers, designers, and GTM.

Bonus Points

  • Experience selling into or building for regulated industries (finance, healthcare, public sector) and familiarity with frameworks like SOC 2 and HIPAA.

  • Experience scaling an enterprise motion from early stage to scale at a high-growth company.

  • Familiarity with the AI ecosystem and what enterprises need to deploy it responsibly.

If you don't think you meet all of the criteria above but are still interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box, and we're looking for someone who is excited to join the team.
