Performs failure analysis and electronics testing on mobile devices involved in product liability and safety cases. Uses X-Ray, CT, SEM, EDS, microscopes, and other test equipment to identify defects, assess design and repairability improvements, and investigate user environments. Prepares technical reports for R&D and collaborates with engineering, product management, management, and repair technicians to improve product quality, diagnostics, and repair productivity. Conducts laboratory and field inspections.

[Summary]
- Perform daily failure analysis of mobile devices related to product liability claims and safety using analytical equipment such as X-Ray/CT machines and digital microscopes
- Provide detailed technical analysis and reports to R&D, collaborating with engineering teams to improve product quality and next-generation repair productivity
- Communicate with management to investigate user environments causing defective symptoms, interfacing with Product Management on product condition and specifications
- Apply relevant technologies (X-Ray, CT, SEM, EDS) for electronics testing and perform scene and laboratory inspections outside the office
- Share improvements and experiences in product troubleshooting, failure analysis, diagnostics and repair techniques with technician teams to enhance product performance quality
[Duties and Responsibilities]
- Perform daily failure analysis of mobile device cases related to product liability claims and safety using analytical equipment such as X-Ray/CT machine, digital microscope, and overheating test equipment
- Identify potential improvements to product design and repair serviceability constraints during reverse engineering analysis
- Provide detailed analysis and reports to R&D based on findings; collaborate with engineering team to improve next generation repair productivity and enhance quality of product performance
- Communicate with management team to ensure and investigate user environment causing related defective symptoms; interface with Product Management to deliver product condition and specification
- Identify potential performance problems and disseminate pertinent technical and repair information to appropriate personnel
- Share improvements and experiences in product troubleshooting, failure analysis, diagnostics and repair techniques with repair technician team members and supervisors
- Using relevant technologies (X-Ray, CT, SEM, EDS) perform electronics testing
- Perform scene and laboratory inspections outside office
[Skills & Qualifications]
- English/Korean bilingual required
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or Analytics
- At least three years experience with selection, maintenance and application of electronic and test equipment (spectrum analyzers, X-Ray, CT, Digital microscope) preferred
- Prior experience in the mobile industry preferred; strong Project Management skills and ability to prioritize in a complex working environment
- Comprehensive use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) in a Windows environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple levels within the company and external contacts
- Ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems involving highly diverse conditions requiring creativity
