Overview
Mastercard has a vision to build a leadership position as the only truly multi-rail payments technology company and Europe is at the forefront in defining and executing our multi-rail strategy. Commercial payments are a large opportunity for Mastercard in the European region. This role will lead the growth of B2B payment acceptance solutions across Europe by partnering with major acquirers, processors, and payment service providers to develop and execute strategies that increase commercial card, virtual card, and embedded payment acceptance among business merchants.
The role is responsible for identifying opportunities, influencing senior stakeholders, developing acceptance strategies, and delivering revenue growth through complex, multi-country engagements.

Key accountabilities of the role• Execute a European growth strategy for B2B acceptance.• Identify and prioritize target acquirers, processors, and payment providers.• Develop executive-level relationships with C-suite and senior commercial leaders.• Create and manage a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities including helping acquirers create B2B acceptance strategies.• Identify underserved merchant verticals and supplier segments.• Design go-to-market plans to accelerate commercial card acceptance.• Support connecting issuers and acquirers in building supplier enablement programs.• Advise on best practices across Europe and Globally with Acquirers & Processors• Grow commercial acceptance volumes & increase revenues by identifying and pursuing direct opportunities with new suppliers identified through our FI partners.• Execute a segmented approach towards mid and large b2b suppliers, and accounts receivable partners.• Responsible for rigorous sales pipeline management & new business KPI's• Works across the different European business functions, coordinating with local product and account management teams.• Consult with b2b merchants with a consultative and strategic approach to uncover a full understanding of their card acceptance processes and challenges.• Prospect, contact, and support onboarding of new suppliers through multiple engagement channels including local meetings, events & conferences.• Enhance ongoing business development relationships with the industry by
attending & participating in webinars, and customer trainings in the commercial b2b acceptance payments space.• This is a sole contributor role, which requires a hunter mindset with a 'will to win' approach.
All About You
Overview: A senior payments professional who combines the consultative approach of a strategy consultant with the commercial drive of an enterprise sales executive. They possess deep knowledge of commercial payments and acceptance, are comfortable engaging C-suite stakeholders, and can translate complex payment ecosystems into actionable growth strategies for Europe's largest acquirers and payment providers. Specifically:• Strong sales hunter mentality with a proven track record of creating, driving, and winning new business with mid and large market corporate organisations.• Commercial payments experience and knowledge with experience in B2B payments, issuing and acquiring.• A track record of executing against clear sales action plan including forecasting & pipeline management.• Proven ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships with large and multinational customers.• Strong collaborator - able to build trusted partnerships both internally and externally.• Track record in consistently achieving business growth targets as sole contributor.• Comfortable with roles that require discretion, integrity, and agility.• Excellent verbal and written communications skills to articulate solutions and value propositions to senior management stakeholders and customers.• Ability to work collaboratively and deliver results in a highly cross-functional environment
