Position Overview
The Event Security Specialist will serve as the primary security professional responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing security operations for corporate events, executive engagements, leadership meetings, and other high-profile activities across Micron's global footprint.
The role is responsible for conducting event risk assessments, developing security plans, coordinating security resources, supporting executive protection requirements, managing incident response, and helping protect attendees, company assets, and sensitive information.
As a Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) Subject Matter Expert, the individual will conduct and support technical security inspections of meeting venues, executive spaces, boardrooms, conference facilities, hotels, and other locations where sensitive discussions may occur. The role will deploy as required in support of executive events and strategic business activities.
Key Responsibilities
Event Security• Serve as the primary security lead for corporate events, executive engagements, and high-profile company functions.• Conduct event security risk assessments and develop practical mitigation strategies.• Develop comprehensive security plans, emergency response procedures, and operational security documentation.• Coordinate with executive protection personnel, venue management, event organizers, law enforcement, and third-party security providers.• Support site surveys, protective advances, route analysis, and venue assessments.• Manage contract security personnel and monitor compliance with company security standards.• Coordinate access control, credentialing, visitor management, screening operations, and perimeter security.• Develop contingency plans for medical emergencies, demonstrations, severe weather, active threats, and other disruptive incidents.• Support executive travel, special events, shareholder meetings, board meetings, product launches, and strategic leadership engagements.• Conduct post-event reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM)• Plan and conduct TSCM inspections of venues supporting executive meetings, board meetings, leadership events, conference centers, hotels, and other sensitive environments.• Utilize professional TSCM methodologies and equipment, including RF spectrum analysis, software-defined radio, non-linear junction detection, telecommunications analysis, and detailed physical inspection techniques.• Identify, assess, document, and mitigate potential technical surveillance vulnerabilities.• Provide technical security recommendations designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized technical collection and eavesdropping.• Prepare professional TSCM assessment reports, findings, and leadership briefings.• Maintain, calibrate, and ensure operational readiness of specialized TSCM equipment.• Remain current on emerging surveillance technologies, technical collection methods, and countermeasure capabilities.• Support technical security requirements at corporate offices, executive residences, special events, and strategic meetings as required.
Executive and Protective Support• Support executive protection operations during major events and leadership engagements.• Coordinate closely with travel security, event management, aviation, facilities, and regional security teams.• Assist with protective intelligence, threat assessments, and executive risk mitigation measures when required.• Support secure movement planning and contingency operations for executive activities.
Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Intelligence Studies, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.• Five or more years of experience in event security, executive protection, physical security, law enforcement, military, intelligence, or a comparable security environment.• Formal TSCM training or qualification from a recognized government, military, law enforcement, or established professional TSCM program.• Demonstrated hands-on experience conducting TSCM inspections and using professional TSCM equipment and methodologies.• Experience planning and managing security operations for large-scale corporate events, executive engagements, or other high-profile activities.• Experience protecting sensitive verbal communications involving corporate executives, boards of directors, senior leadership, government officials, or other principals.• Knowledge of technical surveillance threats, technical collection methodologies, and appropriate countermeasures.• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, project management, report-writing, and communication skills.• Ability to manage multiple projects and deployments simultaneously while exercising discretion with sensitive or confidential matters.• Ability and willingness to travel frequently in support of domestic and international events.
Preferred Qualifications• Professional security certification such as CPP, PSP, PCI, CTSC, or a comparable credential.• Knowledge of event operations, crisis management, emergency planning, and business continuity principles.• Experience working in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, technology, research and development, or critical infrastructure environments.• Familiarity with physical security technologies, access control systems, video management platforms, and visitor management systems.
Comfortable leveraging AI systems and tools.
Physical and Work Requirements• Ability to travel extensively, including domestic and international assignments.• Ability to transport and operate specialized TSCM equipment.• Ability to conduct detailed venue inspections, site surveys, and technical assessments, including accessing areas necessary for a comprehensive inspection.• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours in support of events and executive activities.• Ability to respond on short notice to emerging business requirements and security concerns.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$119,000.00 - $202,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
