Events & Community Intern
About Us

Rho is the all-in-one banking platform for startups and the accountants who support them. With banking set up in minutes, 2% cashback cards, and powerful tools for managing spend, paying bills, and closing the books, Rho helps high-growth startups move fast and stay focused - with support that goes to the ends of the earth to help you win.

About the Role

Rho is hiring an Events & Community Intern to support our fast-growing founder community and help execute high-impact startup events. This is a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in the world of fintech, B2B SaaS, and venture-backed ecosystems, while working alongside a team of seasoned operators and marketers.

You’ll support our on-the-ground community efforts in key markets such as SF and NYC, helping to bring our brand to life through curated dinners, happy hours, founder roundtables, and partner activations. From prepping venues and guest lists to capturing content and surfacing insights, you’ll be an integral part of how Rho shows up in the market.

You’ll work closely with Rho’s Community leads to deliver thoughtful, premium, founder-first experiences that build trust, generate pipeline, and strengthen Rho’s position in the startup world.

We’re looking for someone scrappy, outgoing, highly organized, and excited to learn. You’re energized by the idea of working events, building community, and meeting founders and VCs. You’re eager to grow into a future operator or marketer in the startup ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Support the events leads in end to end execution of founder-facing events in SF, NYC, and other key markets

  • Own logistics prep: managing RSVPs, communications, check-in, vendor coordination, and on-site setup

  • Capture live content and help create post-event recaps for social, newsletters, and community updates

  • Source venues, vendors, and collaborative partners in key markets

  • Help track attendance, budgets, and feedback across all events

  • Represent Rho in a polished, professional way at in-person activations and founder touchpoints

  • Proactively surface learnings and insights from the field to help shape future programming

  • Maintain a high bar for execution quality and brand presentation

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

  • Passion for startups, venture, and and founder ecosystem

  • Experience supporting events, student organizations, or marketing projects a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, someone who has a strong instinct on how to make experiences for partners and founders exceptional

  • Comfortable working evenings or occasional weekends when events are scheduled

  • Located in or able to travel to major startup markets like SF or NYC (preferred)

  • Bonus: Content creation or social media experience (especially video or event recaps), strong use of AI
