Who we are:

Sardine is the leading agentic risk platform for fighting financial crime. Our integrated solution unifies data across risk teams to help organizations stop fraud in real time, prevent AI-driven attacks, and automate fraud and AML operations. Sardine’s platform is strengthened by one of the fastest-growing fraud consortiums in the market, spanning more than 6 billion profiled devices, 800 million consumers, and 3 million businesses worldwide. Leading companies including FIS, GoDaddy, Intuit, Edward Jones, ZoomInfo, and Checkout.com rely on Sardine to secure and grow trust in their products.

Our culture:

  • We hire talented, self-motivated individuals with extreme ownership and high growth orientation.

  • We value performance and not hours worked. We believe you shouldn't have to miss your family dinner, your kid's school play, friends get-together, or doctor's appointments for the sake of adhering to an arbitrary work schedule.

  • We're a remote-first team spread across time zones, so no office to report to - work from wherever helps you do your best work. Just a couple of things to keep in mind: pay is based on where you're located, and you'll need to keep a home base in the country you're hired in. So while we love the "coffee shop today, mountains tomorrow" life, this isn't a passport-optional, work-from-anywhere-on-Earth kind of remote - think flexible within your country, not borderless.

About the Role:

We’re looking for an Events Lead to own and scale Sardine’s global events program, from major industry conferences and tradeshows to our flagship conference, SardineCon, and our SardineCon executive dinners, happy hours, and partner events. You’ll own everything from deciding which events are worth investing in to ensuring our team shows up prepared, our brand stands out, and every event delivers measurable ROI. You’ll work closely with marketing, sales, business development, account management, and product.

This is a hands-on lead role for someone who has managed a high volume of events across regions and audiences, has high standards for execution, and is equally comfortable developing an events strategy, negotiating sponsorships, and solving problems on the show floor.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Own Sardine’s global events calendar, including sponsored conferences and tradeshows, SardineCon, executive dinners, happy hours, partner events, and other field marketing programs.

  • Lead end-to-end event planning and execution, from sponsorship negotiations, budgeting, venue selection, and vendor management to logistics, production, staffing, and on-site execution.

  • Oversee on-site execution to ensure booths, branding, meetings, hospitality, and event experiences meet a consistently high standard, while keeping the Sardine team organized and prepared.

  • Identify, evaluate, and source new event opportunities across industries, verticals, and regions, prioritizing those that reach the right audiences and deliver the strongest ROI.

  • Build repeatable pre-event playbooks covering account targeting, meeting booking, staffing, team briefings, promotion, and everything needed to maximize our presence before an event begins.

  • Own event performance reporting, tracking attendance, target account engagement, meetings, pipeline generation, influenced revenue, and ROI to understand which investments are working.

  • Lead post-event retrospectives with internal stakeholders, using feedback and performance data to improve execution, refine event selection, and continuously raise the quality of our program.

  • Manage the global events budget, including forecasting, sponsorship and vendor negotiations, cost optimization, and allocating investments across different event formats and markets.

  • Build and lead an internal events team as our calendar grows, establishing clear responsibilities, processes, and systems that allow us to scale without sacrificing quality.

  • Manage our external events agency, vendors, and contractors, holding partners accountable for execution quality, timelines, and budgets.

What You’ll Need:

  • Significant experience leading B2B events or field marketing programs, ideally in enterprise SaaS, fraud prevention/AML, fintech, cybersecurity, or a related industry.

  • A track record of managing a high volume of events across multiple regions and formats.

  • Strong understanding of how events contribute to pipeline and revenue, with experience setting event goals, measuring ROI, and partnering with sales teams to drive business outcomes.

  • Excellent project management and operational skills. You can manage dozens of moving pieces, competing deadlines, and multiple events simultaneously without losing sight of the details.

  • High standards for execution and brand experience. You know what a great booth, conference, dinner, or customer event looks like and have the judgment to deliver it consistently.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership. You know how to bring together sales, marketing, product, executives, agencies, and vendors to deliver a successful event.

  • Experience managing agencies, contractors, and internal team members, with the ability to build a team and processes that can support a growing global events program.

  • Comfortable using CRM, marketing automation, and event management tools to track performance, improve workflows, and connect event activity to business outcomes.

  • Resourcefulness, ownership, and attention to detail. You're comfortable rolling up your sleeves, solving problems in real time, and taking responsibility for the outcome.

  • Willingness to travel regularly, including internationally, to support major events and ensure they meet Sardine's standards.

Benefits we offer:

  • Generous compensation in cash and equity

  • Early exercise for all options, including pre-vested

  • Work from anywhere: Remote-first Culture

  • Flexible paid time off and Year-end break

  • Health insurance, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents - US and Canada specific
