Job Overview: 

The Events Manager will play a key role in executing our event strategy and delivering exceptional experiences that engage and inspire our target audiences. This role oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of events, ensuring alignment with business goals and strong cross-functional collaboration. Events managed in this role include conference sponsorships, tradeshows, field marketing events, hosted events, partner events, and our annual client summit. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about creating seamless, impactful events that drive measurable results. This role sits within a high-performing events team that consistently exceeds goals year over year. We operate with a substantial budget, run activations our industry is known for, and have full executive support, a combination that's rare. Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of B2B events conception to completion, including venue selection, budget oversight, vendor negotiations, logistics, and on-site coordination. 
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and customer success, to define event strategies and objectives that align with business goals and audience needs.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry partners, sponsors, exhibitors, and other key stakeholders to maximize participation and support for events.
  • Partner closely with the content and design teams develop compelling event marketing materials, including invitations, promotional emails, social media content, and signage, to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Oversee event registration processes, manage attendee databases, and ensure seamless communication with participants before, during, and after events.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, contractors, and vendors to deliver high-quality event production, audiovisual services, catering, and other necessary amenities.
  • Monitor event performance metrics, track expenses, generate post-event reports to evaluate ROI, track attribution, and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Adhere to internal policies and procedures for event management, including maintaining production books, updating Monday.com boards, tracking budgets, and managing Salesforce campaigns.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative event trends to enhance event experiences and drive continuous improvement. 

Requirements:   

  • 3+ years of experience in event planning and management, including hands-on experience managing conferences and tradeshow sponsorships in a B2B or corporate environment. Experience in the employer benefits space or healthcare space preferred.  
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive, creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software like Monday.com, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

  • Develop creative event strategies while being hands-on in the tactical aspects to deliver exceptional experiences and measurable results.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with marketing, sales, customer success, and external stakeholders to align on goals and maximize event impact.
  • Navigate unexpected challenges with a problem-solving mindset, pivoting plans as needed while maintaining focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency and purpose, ensuring events align with business objectives and contribute to pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Demonstrate strong operational and technical proficiency, using event technology and internal systems to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalable event execution.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, proactively identifying needs, solving problems, and driving events forward without requiring step‑bystep direction.
