Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2026 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?

About the role

Flex is investing in events as a primary channel for building brand awareness, pipeline, and deepening stakeholder relationships in our New Verticals business. As the Events Marketing Manager for New Verticals, you will design and execute our events strategy from the ground up. You'll work closely with the New Verticals revenue team, the Vice President of Partner Marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders to build a repeatable events playbook that generates pipeline, accelerates relationships, and builds Flex's brand in new markets.

What you’ll do

  • Own the full events calendar for our New Verticals business: execute 2-3 anchor industry events and support 3–5 smaller sales team events per vertical per year — from sponsorship negotiation and speaking opportunities through sales enablement, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
  • Enable the New Verticals sales team to maximize their attendance at 3-5 smaller industry events per vertical per year — develop pre-event briefings, target account lists, and talking points so every rep walks in prepared; plan and execute 10–12 person executive dinners tied to key events to deepen partner relationships.
  • Design and execute our events playbook for New Verticals, from run-of-show templates, budget tracking, attendee management, and measurement frameworks so strong execution becomes repeatable and scalable.
  • Define target audience segments for each event format, identifying the right decision-makers at each prospect, setting attendance criteria, and use post-event data to continuously sharpen targeting.
  • Partner with the revenue team to define target account lists for events and ensure revenue team follow-through post-event.
  • Manage events budget with precision, from tracking actuals vs. forecast, surfacing tradeoffs, and optimizing for impact per dollar in terms of pipeline generation.
  • Measure event effectiveness — attendance, pipeline generated, partner satisfaction — and report results to stakeholders cross-functionally.
  • Evaluate third-party event sponsorships and partner-hosted events as co-marketing opportunities for Flex.
  • Coordinate with the broader Partner Marketing team on integrated pre/post-event programs and co-marketing campaigns.

What you’ll bring

  • 3-5 years in B2B event marketing, field marketing, or demand generation, with experience producing both brand presence at large industry conferences, creative marketing activations to drive pipeline, and intimate executive events.
  • Budget management experience — you're comfortable owning a P&L for events and making smart tradeoffs
  • Experience attributing event investment to pipeline & revenue outcomes. You can answer the question “was it worth it?” from any stakeholder with data
  • Comfort with Salesforce and HubSpot for campaign tracking, attendee lists, and post-event follow-up sequences & workflows
  • A builder's mindset. You've stood up events programs at early-stage companies or within new functions and can work without a fully formed playbook
  • Proven track record running high-touch executive events from soup to nuts: venue, speakers, agenda, logistics, and measurement
  • Experience & eagerness using AI thoughtfully and strategically in your day-to-day work
