We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.

We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards.  Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day.  We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

Job Summary:

Job Description Summary
PayPal's Enterprise Systems and Employee Technology organization is building an AI-native enterprise across finance, HR, legal, sales and IT. We're looking for an Executive Assistant Business Partner to support the VP who leads it — a fast-moving, data-driven technology executive with a broad, matrixed portfolio. This is a strategic partner role, not a scheduling role.
This is a high-judgment role for someone who has supported a CIO, CTO or senior technology leader before and is comfortable in the language of IT and enterprise systems. You will understand the organization's priorities, manage the executive's calendar independently, and exercise judgment about when to involve them — operating as the operational right hand across a wide set of stakeholders.
Your way to impact
• Own and defend the executive's calendar, making fast trade-off decisions on priorities, conflicts and travel.
• Act as a trusted gatekeeper and first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, from the executive leadership team to major technology vendors.
• Keep the executive ahead of what matters: meeting prep, follow-ups tracked, decisions and actions not dropped.
• Bring enough fluency in IT and enterprise systems to read context — who matters, what's urgent, what a meeting is really about — rather than handling logistics blind.
• Operate with discretion on confidential and sensitive information.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages calendar of the executive and daily work with some instruction from others.
  • Performs general administrative duties such as travel, expenses, department distribution list, purchase orders, ordering supplies in accordance with standard procedures & practices.
  • Engage and collaborate with the immediate team & internal partners.
  • May act as a delegate for the executive when reviewing and approving expense reports
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to increase efficiency and improve processes, anticipating the needs of the executive & team
  • Collaborate regularly with peers and internal partners while developing and maintaining strong relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant work experience

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years as an executive assistant, including direct support of senior executives or technology leaders in large, global organizations.
  • Prior experience supporting a CIO, CTO or senior technology executive — or working inside a technology organization.
  • Working familiarity with IT and enterprise systems (for example SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday) and the vocabulary of enterprise technology.
  • Excellent calendar, travel and inbox management under constant change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and the judgment to represent a senior executive well.
  • High discretion with confidential information.
  • Fluency with Microsoft 365 and Outlook, SharePoint, Google Workspace, Slack and collaboration tools.
  • Comfortable with a fast, candid, data-driven operating style; proactive rather than reactive.
  • Experience in executive operations or a strategic administrative business-partner role in a large, matrixed technology or financial-services company.
  • Fintech or payments industry background.
  • Experience supporting executives who work with major technology vendors and system integrators.
  • Exposure to AI tools for scheduling, notes and productivity.
