Role Overview 

Immatics is seeking a strategic and highly collaborative Executive Director, IT Commercial to establish and lead the IT Commercial & Patient Operations function. The Executive Director, IT Commercial will enable our US commercial launch strategy and drive IT launch milestones. This impactful leader will own the end-to-end IT Commercial and Medical Affairs roadmap, from commercial systems and patient operations platforms to the commercial data foundation, sequencing delivery against business milestones.  The Executive Director, IT Commercial is the bridge between the US Commercial organization and global IT, translating functional needs into an executable, governed technology portfolio, with stakeholder engagement spanning Market Access, Patients Operations, Sales, Marketing, Commercial Analytics & Operations, as well as Medical Affairs.  This leader will create the strategy and continuous development of our commercial IT landscape.

  

Reports to: Vice President, IT

Location: Remote

Salary Range: $245,000 - $275,000

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 15+ years of IT experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including 7+ years in senior leadership roles.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Advanced degree in computer science, information systems, life sciences, or a related field.

  • Proven track record leading IT for at least one US commercial product launch readiness, ideally as IT launch lead.

  • Deep knowledge of the commercial and medical affairs pharma systems landscape.

  • Knowledge and background in Cell & Gene therapy is strongly preferred

  • Experience establishing commercial data foundations, including Master Data Management, integrations, data warehouse/lake, reporting, and analytics.

  • Working knowledge of GxP/CSV, 21 CFR Part 11, and healthcare data privacy requirements, including HIPAA.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams, manage vendors and budgets, and deliver a multi-project portfolio against fixed regulatory milestones.

  • Ability to communicate complex problems to effectively communicate business needs to stakeholders and end-users.

  • Executive presence and high emotional intelligence; able to influence and align senior leaders and stakeholders without formal authority.

  • Strong governance, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities in a multi-project environment with hard milestones.

In this role, you will: 

  • Own, refine, and execute the IT Commercial & Patient Operations strategy and roadmap, aligning system rollouts with commercial milestones and managing dependencies across functions, vendors, and global IT.

  • Deliver the commercial systems portfolio, including ecosystem expansion, sales operations, marketing hub, omnichannel engagement, patient operations, commercial analytics, market access hub and medical affairs.

  • Deliver the patient operations technology stack, including ATC portal, hub and patient services integrations, CRM, allocation and slot management, call center/telephony, and end-to-end patient and product journey tracking.

  • Establish the commercial data foundation, including master data management, commercial data warehouse and data lake, reporting and analytics, and AI-enabled use cases.

  • Drive integrations with enterprise systems

  • Ensure compliance of all commercial and patient-facing systems with GxP/CSV requirements, 21 CFR Part 11, SOX, transparency reporting, HIPAA, GDPR, and applicable cybersecurity requirements.

  • Manage vendors, external partners, and implementation providers across the commercial portfolio, including contract, budget, and performance management.
