The Opportunity

Embark is looking for a proven, elite business development executive — not a manager of process, but a hunter and relationship architect who has spent a career opening doors at the C-suite level and turning those relationships into revenue. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-visibility, high-impact role at one of the most award-winning consulting firms in the country (45+ culture and workplace recognitions) and own the growth agenda.

If you've built books of business from scratch, thrive in complex consultative sales environments, and have a network of CFOs, CHROs, and technology executives who take your call — we need to talk.

What You'll Own

  • Drive enterprise revenue by identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value engagements with C-level executives across finance, accounting, HR, and technology functions
  • Develop new markets — not manage existing ones. You'll identify whitespace, build presence in untapped sectors, and establish Embark as the go-to advisory firm
  • Activate and expand your network from day one. You bring relationships; you'll leave with more
  • Lead consultative sales cycles end-to-end — from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close — with a clear command of value and ROI
  • Set the bar for pipeline discipline: accurate forecasting, rigorous activity metrics, and consistent execution across cold outreach, networking, and referral channels
  • Partner with delivery and practice leadership to sharpen service offerings and ensure client needs shape Embark's market positioning
  • Stay ahead of the market — competitive intelligence, industry trends, and emerging client priorities are your domain

Who You Are

You are not looking for your first rodeo. You have a verifiable track record of:

  • 10+ years in enterprise or professional services sales, with consistent, demonstrable quota attainment
  • C-suite fluency — you've sold to, partnered with, and built lasting relationships with CFOs, CAOs, CHROs, and CIOs
  • Market creation — you've opened new geographies or verticals, not just inherited warm pipelines
  • A live, active network of senior executives who trust your judgment and engage your outreach
  • A background in or deep familiarity with finance, accounting, or adjacent professional services (strongly preferred)
  • The self-discipline and competitive drive to operate as an independent producer in a high-expectation environment

Non-negotiables: At least two of the following three must be deeply embedded in your experience — C-level relationship development, new market creation, and an extensive, active industry network.

What's in it for you:

  • We pay 100% of insurance premiums on medical, dental, and vision for you AND your family

  • Typical compensation range of $175,000 - $225,000 + Commissions

  • We match 50% to 6% on our 401K

  • Fully paid parental leave for all new parents

  • Monthly stipend for whole human wellness

  • All the technology you’ll need to be successful, the most advanced software, and accessories to ensure you get the job done in style

  • Monthly team outings (think: axe throwing, a trip to the State Fair, go-kart races, etc.)

In closing...

If this role sounds exciting, apply and let's start the conversation!
