About the role

Initially reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Experiential Marketing Lead will expand and elevate our experiential marketing function and provide creative and operational support. Working cross-functionally with our marketing and sales teams, this person will define and implement short and long-term strategies for partner events, VIP/influencer engagements, sponsorships, and experiential marketing. This role is paramount in realizing our ambitious brand elevation and revenue generation strategy for 2026 and beyond.

A successful candidate will be a forward-thinking and hyper-collaborative teammate and will partner with colleagues within our commercial organization to cultivate opportunities to engage and inspire key audiences, including prospects, clients, advisors, and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, plan, and develop a comprehensive experiential marketing strategy, working with senior leadership to address our goals and growth plans across specific audiences and industry segments.

  • Bring “uniquely Candid experiences” and activation events virtually and in-person to life.

  • Provide vision and direction on programming, including creative direction, format, content strategy, speaker preparation, and plan for pre/post-event engagement.

  • Communicate and build relationships with VIP/C-suite speakers and event attendees.

  • Lead the team to source and manage event logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiation, speaker recruitment, vendor management, branding, event production, and programming for events of up to 500 attendees.

  • Build experiential marketing operations function, driving team efficiency and alignment to Key Performance Indicators.

  • Establish plans and budget expectations.

  • Collaborate with key partners to ensure events accomplish shared goals of building and accelerating pipeline, deal progress, existing customer share expansion, and community building

  • Maintain groundbreaking knowledge and insights into the industry and competition to continuously identify potential partnerships and new opportunities

  • Cultivate and maintain Candid Health’s brand and voice through all activations and events

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in event marketing and/or experiential marketing (including virtual event experience)

    • Experience in a high growth SaaS Environment is preferred

  • Experience crafting and producing branded experiential activations that have driven measurable earned media attention and buzz

  • B2B event management experience leading proprietary, 3rd party industry or executive events

  • Strong organizational and project management skills to effectively lead multiple partners and projects with tight deadlines

  • Extensive and successful experience with celebrity/VIP management

  • Success in developing strong internal and external relationships

  • Fluency in recent news, cultural trends, and policy changes and able to translate that knowledge into concrete strategic actions

  • Strong imagination, instincts and judgment in transforming complex topics and information into captivating, relevant content

  • Proven acuity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and continuously adapt to new challenges and dynamic priorities, while maintaining professional grace and a sense of humor

  • Strong technical knowledge of a broad range virtual event platforms, virtual event production approaches and modern marketing automation, analytics and technology

  • Exceptional client and vendor management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent technical skills – MS Office (specifically advanced Excel and PowerPoint), virtual event platforms (Hopin, Zoom, others) and integrations to track lead generation (Salesforce.com, HubSpot) and Google Suite

Location

Candid Health is an in-person environment with the expectation that individuals are working 4 days in the office each week (with 1 remote day). Candid Health has offices in San Francisco, Denver, and New York City.

Pay Transparency

The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 USD. The listed range is a guideline from Pave data, and the actual base salary may be modified based on factors including job-related skills, experience/qualifications, interview performance, market data, etc. Total compensation for this position may also include equity, sales incentives (for sales roles), and employee benefits. Given Candid Health’s funding and size, we heavily value the potential upside from equity in our compensation package. Further note that Candid Health has minimal hierarchy and titles, but has broad ranges of experience represented within roles.
