NBCUniversal is looking for a Facility Helper!
In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Engineering team with efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the building systems, mechanical equipment, FF&E grounds and infrastructure. This includes responding to service calls, escorting vendors on site, and collaborating with other departments to ensure the facility operates efficiently, remains safe and is compliant with all regulations.
What You'll Do:
- Managing lighting inventory, including changing light bulbs and ballast replacement
- Perform general plumbing repairs and maintenance, including clearing floor and roof drains, gutters, fixtures, and toilets
- Support Engineers as needed with filter replacement, coil cleaning and condensate line clearing
- Minor door and lock repairs
- Perform interior & exterior painting, staining and general carpentry tasks as needed
- Minor repairs to flooring and furniture as needed
- General office services tasks, including moving and/or building of furniture
- Conduct site inspections and have work orders created in the CMMS
- Complete work orders assigned through the CMMS and mobile platform
- Record utility meter readings as required
- Support vendor and 3rd party contracted services as required at the direction of the Chief Engineer, Facility or Engineering Supervisor
- Attend and participate in emergency preparedness initiatives, attend drills and exercises
- Support Facility Operations and other teams with event set-ups
- Perform general duties including debris removal, rain preparation, materials, and storeroom inventory
- Assist maintaining a clean workplace environment, including job clean up, use of pressure washers and other cleaning devices and equipment Respond to service requests and emergencies during and after business hours
- Partner with NBCU departments to ensure compliance and safety tasks are addressed promptly
- Adhere to OSHA, ADA and other regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
