Design realistic, multi-step finance and accounting benchmark tasks based on FP&A, financial reporting, audit, and reconciliation workflows. The role requires strong judgment, Excel proficiency, cross-document analysis, structured review experience, and at least five years of hands-on finance or accounting experience.

Role Title: Finance & Accounting Expert

Role Type: Contract

Location: Remote, global

Required Skills:

  • Turning Real Finance Work Into a Defined Task

  • Objective Grading Criteria

  • Reconciliation and Error Diagnosis

  • Judgment in Reporting and Analysis

  • Working Across Documents

  • AI training

Opportunity Snapshot:

  • Time per task: ~10 hours per task

  • Engagement: Project-based - paid per approved task

  • Location: Fully remote - no geographic restrictions. Strong English required (B2 advanced or C1 minimum)

  • Next step: Complete the role-specific AI interview - it’s how your expertise gets in front of the client

  • Your tasks: Design realistic, multi-step finance and accounting tasks with objective criteria for grading the output

Your domain knowledge is what matters here - no prior AI experience required.

The work is to turn real finance workflows into benchmark tasks: realistic, difficult, and gradable against objective criteria. If you’ve built a review checklist, trained a junior analyst against a standard, or signed off on someone else’s workpapers, that’s the instinct this needs.

Scope of Work:

  • Design multi-step tasks drawn from real finance and accounting work — FP&A analysis, financial reporting, audit procedures, reconciliations — with realistic reference files and clear instructions.

  • Define objective grading criteria so two qualified reviewers would reach the same verdict on the same output.

  • Build tasks that require judgment rather than lookup: ones where the right answer depends on reading the materials correctly.

  • Create or source the supporting materials each task needs: spreadsheets, GL extracts, financial statements, policy documents.

  • Flag tasks that turn out to be ambiguous or ungradable instead of submitting them anyway.

  • Deliver approved tasks on schedule and at the required quality level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on responsibility in FP&A, financial reporting, audit, reconciliations, or accounting — direct ownership of the work, not supervisory-only or adjacent exposure.

  • Experience creating or applying structured review standards: audit programs, review checklists, close checklists, grading rubrics, or training assessments.

  • Strong Excel capability and comfort reasoning across multiple documents at once.

  • CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent is a plus, but not required.

  • Strong written English.

  • AI or LLM evaluation experience is a plus, but not required.
