About OpenRouter
OpenRouter is the AI routing and infrastructure layer that enterprises use to access, manage, and optimize the best large language models across providers—without lock-in, capacity constraints, or unnecessary cost. We power some of the most advanced AI teams in the world by giving them the flexibility to move fast, scale confidently, and stay future-proof as models evolve.
As enterprise adoption of AI accelerates, OpenRouter sits at the center of how organizations operationalize LLMs across research, product, and production workloads.

The Role

OpenRouter is hiring a Strategic Finance & BizOps Manager to help steer the company’s next phase of growth. You’ll sit at the center of the business—working with the exec team to turn messy questions into crisp plans, sharp metrics, and clear decisions—and help us tell the story internally (and externally) as we scale.

This role is for someone who loves connecting dots across product, GTM, and finance, thrives in a fast-changing environment, and wants real ownership. If you’re excited to build lightweight, high-leverage operating systems (and use AI to move faster), you’ll have outsized impact here.

What you’ll do

  • Plan & model the business: Own the company model and maintain a driver-based view of how the company grows and performs; help set targets and scenarios that guide decisions.

  • Support strategic and financial planning processes - lead monthly close, departmental budgets and long range planning - working with our accounting partners to make sure financials are accurate

  • Develop financial strategies to optimize token economics and support ecosystem growth

  • Define and track key performance indicators; design dashboards to monitor business health and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.

  • Build executive-ready reporting and narratives that highlight what matters, surface risks/opportunities, and propose concrete next steps.

  • Partner with the executive team on board & fundraising cycles. Shape storylines and materials, coordinate inputs across the company, and ensure diligence readiness.

  • Design lightweight automations and workflows using AI that reduce cycle time in planning, reporting, communications, and research.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in strategic finance, ideally within high-growth technology companies, investment banking or consulting

  • Extensive experience building detailed financial analysis that is used to drive business decisions

  • Ability to structure solutions in ambiguous areas of opportunity and thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic setting

  • Proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners

  • An enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality

  • Working knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
