What these roles may involve
Depending on the company and level, responsibilities may include:
  • Managing day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and financial operations
  • Running monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes
  • Preparing internal financial reports and organizing data for planning
  • Tracking and reconciling activity across crypto wallets, exchanges, custodians, and other platforms
  • Working with transaction and blockchain data to ensure financial records are accurate
  • Partnering with Engineering, Operations, and other teams to understand financial and transaction flows
  • Building repeatable processes for accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and recordkeeping
  • Coordinating with external accountants, auditors, tax providers, and other financial partners
  • Preparing financial records and supporting documentation for audits and regulatory requests

What portfolio companies are generally looking for
  • 2–5+ years of accounting, finance, or finance operations experience
  • Strong accounting fundamentals and comfort working with detailed financial data
  • Experience with bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliation, or financial operations
  • High attention to detail and a strong focus on maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to build processes in environments where systems and infrastructure are still developing
  • Comfort working across technical and non-technical teams in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Familiarity with crypto transactions, wallets, exchanges, custody, or blockchain data is a plus
  • Previous finance or accounting experience at a crypto, fintech, trading, or financial services company is a plus

Compensation
Compensation varies by company, location, experience, and level. Many Finance Operations opportunities within our portfolio are expected to fall within approximately:
  • Early / Associate: $80,000–$120,000
  • Mid-level: $120,000–$160,000
  • Senior: $160,000–$250,000+

The compensation range reflects variation by seniority, location, and hiring company. Final compensation is confirmed with the specific hiring company.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $165,000 – $215,000 per year.
