Job Description:

Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and support impactful mission outcomes as a Financial Analyst at GDIT. Here, you’ll enable the success of the most critical government missions and the growth of a meaningful career in Finance.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

Support mission critical initiatives and enable the growth of our business as a Financial Analyst within GDIT’s Diplomacy Subsector. In this role, you will partner closely with finance and program leadership across multiple major programs to deliver analysis, reporting, and insights essential to supporting U.S. diplomatic operations worldwide.

  • Perform various financial functions such as budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across assigned programs.
  • Collect, review, reconcile, and validate financial data from multiple sources.
  • Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data discrepancies.
  • Create, maintain, and update financial models, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to support program and corporate reporting needs.
  • Generate new project records and maintain/monitor project setups throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate coding, timely activation, and alignment with financial and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain complete records and documentation, ensuring compliance with internal controls, contract requirements, and Federal acquisition regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and support recovery or mitigation strategies.
  • Support monthly reporting functions including sales and earnings variance commentary.
  • Prepare customer deliverables including invoice backup packages, Limitation of Funds notifications, and other ad-hoc requests.  
  • Support review of cost proposals, contract modifications, and special projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your Finance expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Financial Analyst must have:

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or 4+ years of additional related work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions).
  • Familiarity with financial systems (Oracle EBS, Oracle Hyperion, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present financial information clearly to financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Team‑oriented with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
  • Knowledge of government contract cost structures is preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
  • US citizenship required.

The likely salary range for this position is $64,230 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
