Serve as a customer-embedded product owner converting high-stakes POCs into shippable product decisions. Translate ambiguous requirements into PRDs, define acceptance and metrics, prioritize scope, partner with engineering on build-deploy-measure loops, validate instrumentation and data models, and drive productize/standardize/stop decisions while protecting product integrity under commercial time pressure.

Conviva is the intelligence layer for digital businesses, turning every consumer interaction into outcome-based intelligence—linking engagement patterns across AI agents, apps, websites, and streaming video to real results such as purchases, bookings, and resolved support requests. Powered by its patented Time-State Technology®, the Conviva® Operational Data Platform delivers real-time insights and automation that help leading enterprises grow, improve satisfaction, and build lasting trust.

The Role

We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to operate at the critical boundary between customer ambition and product reality.

The FDE is a customer-embedded product owner responsible for converting high-stakes Proofs of Concept (POCs) into structured, shippable product decisions under commercial time pressure. You run an outcome-driven delivery loop that determines whether work becomes core product, a repeatable capability, or is explicitly sunset.

This role ensures innovation strengthens the platform — rather than fragmenting it.

What You’ll DoOwn the POC-to-Product Loop
  • Translate ambiguous customer requirements into structured Product Requirements Documents (PRDs)
  • Define sequencing, acceptance criteria, and measurable definitions of “done”
  • Scope and prioritize within constrained POC timelines
  • Define user workflows, metric definitions, dimensions, and success criteria
  • Partner with Engineering in a build → deploy → measure → iterate cadence
  • Identify and reconcile deltas between intended and observed system behavior
  • Drive formal decisioning: productize, standardize, or stop
Drive Structured Execution
  • Prioritize scope in partnership with Engineering
  • Unblock technical and product decisions
  • Maintain alignment between commercial expectations and engineering delivery
  • Protect product integrity while operating under time pressure
Apply Analytics & Insight Rigor
  • Ensure metrics and instrumentation accurately reflect customer intent
  • Validate that data models represent what stakeholders believe they represent
  • Use quantitative and qualitative evidence to drive product decisions
  • Translate complex system behavior into clear, high-impact narratives for technical and executive audiences
  • Tell compelling, data-driven stories that align stakeholders around outcomes
Risk Mitigation & Systems Thinking

FDEs safeguard Conviva against common failure modes in customer-driven innovation:

  • Drift between Sales expectations and Engineering delivery
  • Unbounded bespoke work without a path to productization
  • Ambiguous or misaligned measurement definitions
  • Core engineering bottlenecks created by configuration complexity

You act as the control mechanism that keeps delivery disciplined, measurable, and scalable.

Who You AreRequired
  • 5+ years in Product Management, Forward Deployed Engineering, Sales Engineering or a similar role with strong product ownership
  • Demonstrated experience translating ambiguity into executable requirements
  • Strong technical fluency and ability to collaborate deeply with Product Managers and Engineers
  • Analytical rigor — comfortable defining metrics, validating instrumentation, and interpreting system-level data
  • Proven ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management capability
  • Ability to operate effectively under delivery and revenue pressure
Preferred
  • Experience with analytics platforms, AI/ML systems, or agentic workflows
  • Experience converting experimental or bespoke work into scalable product capabilities
  • Background in high-growth SaaS environments
How We Measure Success

A successful FDE:

  • Increases conversion rate and reduces conversion time in pre-sales POCs
  • Converts POCs into structured, defensible product decisions
  • Increases reuse and standardization across customer engagements
  • Reduces product debt from bespoke work
  • Improves alignment between revenue, product, and engineering teams
  • Elevates the quality and clarity of data-driven decision making

Why Join Conviva

You will work at the frontier of agentic intelligence and analytics -  shaping how customer signals become autonomous, scalable product capability. This role offers direct impact on product direction, commercial success, and platform evolution.

If you thrive in ambiguity, are outcome-centric, and use data to drive clarity under pressure, we would like to meet you.

The expected salary range for this full-time position is $150,000- $250,000 + equity + benefits. Compensation is determined by numerous factors such as your qualifications, experience, relevant education or training, and work location.
