About AirOps

AirOps is the first end-to-end content engineering platform built for the AI era. In a world where discovery is shifting from traditional search to AI-driven platforms, we help brands get found—and stay found. We are currently in a phase of hyper-growth, having 5x’d our revenue in the last year by helping marketing teams at Ramp, Chime, Carta, and Rippling turn content quality into a durable competitive advantage.

Our platform equips marketers to navigate the new discovery landscape, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and create accurate, on-brand content that earns citations from AI and trust from humans. Backed by Greylock, Unusual Ventures, Wing VC, and Founder Collective, we are building the intelligent systems that will empower the next generation of marketing leaders. AirOps is headquartered in San Francisco, New York and Montevideo.

About the role

If you want to build where the action is — real customers, real problems, real product impact — this role is for you. As a Forward Deployed Engineer at AirOps, you’ll sit at the intersection of product, growth, and customer success, rapidly building AI workflows we use internally and then productizing them for customers across verticals.

You’ll move fluidly between execution and strategy: shipping in days, learning from live feedback, and turning “this worked for one customer” into “this scales for hundreds.” It’s a high-ownership seat for someone excited to shape how AI actually gets applied in the real world.

  • What you'll own

  • Build AI growth workflows using AirOps for internal use and customer-facing productization across verticals

  • Partner with Growth, Marketing, Sales, and Product to build templates and workflows aligned to product launches and expansion opportunities

  • Use the AirOps platform to improve internal and customer-facing processes and prove out new use cases

  • Monitor key metrics closely: analyze trends, identify patterns, and report findings and recommendations to the exec team

  • Test the product and provide structured feedback to improve customer experience and usability

What you'll bring

  • 2 to 6 years in Growth, BizOps, Product, Technical Account Management, Analytics, Solutions Engineering, or a similar role at a high-growth startup

  • Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI techniques including prompt engineering and retrieval

  • Experience automating processes with workflow automation tools such as Zapier

  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data to inform decisions

  • Excellent project management skills and proficiency with tools like Linear, Airtable, or Asana

Nice to haves

  • Familiarity with Python and JavaScript

  • Former founder or operator experience

  • Strong interest in the intersection of AI and growth

Our Guiding Principles
  1. Extreme Ownership

  2. Quality

  3. Curiosity and Play

  4. Make Our Customers Heroes

  5. Respectful Candor

Benefits
  • Equity in a fast-growing startup

  • Competitive benefits package tailored to your location

  • Flexible time off policy

  • Parental Leave

  • A fun-loving and (just a bit) nerdy team that loves to move fast!

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
