About the Company

Why We Built Lyric: Supply chains are more critical and complex than ever. Every day, large enterprises navigate trillions of possible decisions that could impact the bottom line. Powerful algorithms and AI can address these problems, yet most organizations struggle to leverage supply chain AI at scale. The current SCM technologies are either rigid, limited-scope point solutions or custom solutions built in-house, which demand immense expertise and investment.

That is…until now.

Enter Lyric: Lyric is an enterprise AI platform built specifically for supply chains, offering the best of both worlds:

  • Out-of-the-box AI solutions for optimizing networks, allocating inventory, scheduling routes, planning fulfillment capacity, promising orders, propagating demand, building predictions, analyzing scenarios, and more, plus

  • A platform-first approach that empowers both business and technical users with end-to-end product composability, leveraging no-code tools, their own code, or even forking our code to build and refine supply chain decision intelligence

With Lyric, enterprises no longer have to choose between flexibility and speed, they get both.

The Mission: We’re building a new era in supply chain with the team best equipped to lead it. With over 20 years at the intersection of supply chain and algorithms, we developed a deep conviction that global supply chains needed something like Lyric. Since our inception in December 2021, that conviction has been validated time and time again.

Today, a growing number of Fortune 500 companies, including Smurfit WestRock, Estée Lauder, Coca-Cola, and more, are innovating on their own terms with Lyric. We can’t wait to see what our customers, both current and future, are empowered to build with us next. Come build with us!

About The Role

Lyric is hiring a Forward Deployed Solution Strategist within its Customer Success organization to drive adoption, retention, and expansion across some of our most strategic customer relationships. This is a Director-level, customer-facing role that blends deep supply chain expertise, strong technical fluency, and exceptional relationship-building to navigate customer organizations.

As a Forward Deployed Solution Strategist, you are both core strategic advisor and business partner to Lyric’s enterprise customers. Lyric Studio is a platform built to “start anywhere, scale everywhere” with the vision to transform all parts of supply chain operations. We call this lighting up the supply chain decision mesh. The Forward Deployed Solution Strategist (FDSS) plays a key role in shaping how customers realize value from their partnership with Lyric and expand into new parts of the decision mesh. The ideal candidate is T-shaped, capable of engaging broadly across business and technical topics, and brings deep expertise in one of three areas: advanced modeling, operational planning, or AI and machine learning–driven prediction use cases.

This role requires agility, strong executive presence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

  • Own the strategic success of Lyric's largest enterprise accounts, serving as the primary customer lead and coordinating cross-functional teams to drive adoption, retention, and measurable value.

  • Lead Quarterly Success Reviews, governance sessions, and executive engagements that align customer stakeholders on account goals, business impact, and the product/platform roadmap.

  • Embed deeply within customer organizations to understand their operational challenges, supply chain processes, and internal capabilities — translating that knowledge into actionable solution strategies across scenario modeling and network analysis, operational planning and fulfillment, or AI/ML-powered use cases.

  • Partner closely with Sales on joint account planning — shaping renewal strategy, expansion pathways, and growth roadmap workshops that uncover new users, workflows, and business units to bring into Lyric's decision mesh.

  • Build hands-on in Lyric’s platform, Lyric Studio, and where needed, direct small teams of forward deployed engineers to turn "art of the possible" ideas into working prototypes customers can progress through the product life cycle.

  • Surface the voice of the customer to Product, advocating for customer needs and helping prioritize them within the roadmap.

  • Train and enable customer teams on Lyric's platform, building their confidence with a powerful, fast-evolving toolset — including developing customers' own Supply Chain Engineer capability for long-term self-sufficiency.

  • Craft compelling business cases for expansion opportunities and collaborate with Sales to convert them into account growth.

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in Consulting, Supply Chain Operations, or Go-to-Market Strategy roles, with a strong track record of managing practical AI/analytics roadmaps or transformation

  • Adept knowledge of supply chain domains with the ability to engage in both technical and business-level discussions

  • Deep fluency in at least one core domain: Modeling & Analysis, Planning & Execution, or Frontier Use Cases (AI / Machine Learning)

  • Proven ability to drive platform adoption and measurable value through stakeholder engagement, value quantification, and quarterly success review leadership

  • Excellent communication skills across business and technical audiences; capable of building high-trust relationships from end users to senior executives

  • Skilled at identifying expansion opportunities, shaping growth narratives, and feeding structured insights back to internal cross-functional teams (including Sales, Product, and Engineering) for continuous improvement

  • Comfortable training and enabling customers on a dynamic, technical platform; able to instill confidence in less-technical users; and can get hands-on with the platform to prototype alongside customers

  • Highly adaptable, coachable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a dynamic environment

Even if you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications, we recommend applying to the role!

Location: Remote. Up to 30% travel expected, primarily within the US.

Compensation: The annual compensation range for this position is $180,000 and $240,000 in on-target earnings. Base cash will be determined based on years of experience with a 30% variable compensation that is earned based on individual & business performance. You will also have the opportunity to receive equity in Lyric.
