About the Company

Why We Built Lyric: Supply chains are more critical and complex than ever. Every day, large enterprises navigate trillions of possible decisions that could impact the bottom line. Powerful algorithms and AI can address these problems, yet most organizations struggle to leverage supply chain AI at scale. The current SCM technologies are either rigid, limited-scope point solutions or custom solutions built in-house, which demand immense expertise and investment.

That is…until now.

Enter Lyric: Lyric is an enterprise AI platform built specifically for supply chains, offering the best of both worlds:

  • Out-of-the-box AI solutions for optimizing networks, allocating inventory, scheduling routes, planning fulfillment capacity, promising orders, propagating demand, building predictions, analyzing scenarios, and more, plus

  • A platform-first approach that empowers both business and technical users with end-to-end product composability, leveraging no-code tools, their own code, or even forking our code to build and refine supply chain decision intelligence

With Lyric, enterprises no longer have to choose between flexibility and speed, they get both.

The Mission: We’re building a new era in supply chain with the team best equipped to lead it. With over 20 years at the intersection of supply chain and algorithms, we developed a deep conviction that global supply chains needed something like Lyric. Since our inception in December 2021, that conviction has been validated time and time again.

Today, a growing number of Fortune 500 companies, including Smurfit WestRock, Estée Lauder, Coca-Cola, and more, are innovating on their own terms with Lyric. We can’t wait to see what our customers, both current and future, are empowered to build with us next. Come build with us!

About The Role

Lyric is looking for a Forward Deployed Supply Chain Engineer to lead platform delivery on one of our largest enterprise engagements to date. This is a critical, customer-facing position that will own a workstream end-to-end — from planning through go-live — and brings the judgment, presence, and drive to earn the confidence of a group of tenured, experienced operators and engineers.

This role calls for a hands-on builder: someone who operates with genuine autonomy, moves with urgency, and brings the rigor and credibility to lead a high-visibility deployment where the stakes are real.

What You'll Do

  • Own Lyric deployment workstreams end-to-end, from planning through go-live

  • Run meetings and manage the project plan independently, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and status

  • Partner with customer and internal executives to align priorities, manage risk, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery

  • Lead structured UAT and drive adoption of Lyric solutions for our customers

  • Train and enable customer teams, including engineers and experienced operators, to adopt Lyric’s platform effectively, building confidence in a powerful and fast-evolving toolset

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for end-users through go-live and into steady-state monitoring

  • Partner closely with Lyric's technical delivery team to translate business needs into the platform build

  • Apply AI tools as a default part of delivery: LLM-assisted modeling and configuration, agentic workflows for data prep and validation, AI-generated documentation, test scripts, etc.

  • Identify where AI and agentic capabilities can be embedded into customer planning operations — anomaly detection, AI-assisted demand sensing, automated scenario generation

About You

  • 3–7+ years of experience, ideally as a senior consultant at a large systems integrator, building, connecting, and managing technology systems

  • Comfortable owning a workstream hands-on: running meetings independently, building project plans, and driving toward a timeline

  • Supply chain consulting background preferred; oil & gas industry experience is a plus but not required

  • Adept program and project management skills

  • High energy, high agency, and comfortable navigating a large, complex client organization

  • Strong communicator, especially with engineers and experienced, non-technical, operator-type audiences

  • SQL/Python familiarity is a plus

Location: Remote. We're hiring for this role in the US or Canada, with a preference for Central or Eastern time zones to align with the delivery team and client stakeholders. Up to 30% travel expected, primarily within the US.

Compensation: The annual compensation range for this position is $100,000 and $170,000 in on-target earnings. Base cash will be determined based on years of experience with a 20% variable compensation that is earned based on individual & business performance. You will also have the opportunity to receive equity in Lyric.
