Infisical is the open source security infrastructure platform that engineers use for secrets management, certificates, and privileged access management. We help developers and organizations securely manage billions of secrets every month including application configuration, database credentials, certificates, and more.

We’ve raised $19M from Y Combinator, Google, and Elad Gil, and our customers include Hugging Face, Lucid, and LG.

Join us on a mission to make security easier for all developers — starting with secrets management. We’re looking to hire exceptional talent to join us in building the open source security infrastructure stack for the AI era.

About the role

We're looking for a Design Engineer (Brand) to help shape how the world discovers, understands, and experiences Infisical.
This is an intentionally broad role for someone who is passionate about design, engineering, and creative problem solving. You'll co-own the landing page, own our brand across every touchpoint, design everything from blog graphics and merchandise to conference booths and launch campaigns, and build pixel-perfect digital experiences. Beyond that, you'll take on ambitious engineering and creative projects wherever they have the greatest impact.
You’ll work closely with our co-founder and the Marketing, Sales, and Developer Experience teams to:

  • Define and evolve Infisical’s brand identity, including the visual language, creative direction, and level of craft across everything we put into the world.

  • Design brand and marketing surfaces, including blog graphics, merchandise, presentations, conference booths, launch campaigns, and other creative assets.

  • Build and maintain Infisical.com, including pixel-perfect pages, reusable frontend components, CMS integrations, SEO, analytics, and marketing tooling.

  • Prototype and ship ambitious engineering and creative projects, including interactive demos, AI-powered experiences, open source initiatives, and internal tooling.

Requirements

  • Strong design and engineering skills, with experience building polished digital experiences and a portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft, creativity, and technical execution.

  • Deep mastery of JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and frameworks like React/Next.js.

  • Exceptional taste and creative judgment, with the ability to translate abstract ideas into bold, cohesive, and beautifully crafted experiences.

  • Bias toward action: able to make decisions, iterate quickly, and take calculated risks.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and eagerness to learn.

  • Based in Canada or the United States (SF preferred).

Nice to have

  • Technical SEO fundamentals.

  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g. Contentful, Sanity, etc.).

  • Experience configuring website analytics/marketing platform integrations such as with Google Analytics and HubSpot.

  • Experience with developer-facing products or startups.

Team, values & benefits

Our team brings experience from companies like Databricks, AWS, Red Hat, and more. We operate primarily as a remote team, but maintain a strong presence in San Francisco, where we have an office. We also get together in person throughout the year for off-sites, conferences, and team gatherings.

At Infisical, we offer competitive compensation, including both salary and equity options. Additional benefits, such as a lunch stipend and a work setup budget, are available with more details to be found on our careers page.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
