Who We Are

Pascal’s mission is to deliver AI-native systems to the offline economy, starting with the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector.

Our customers are the brands that distribute goods to physical and online merchants. You’ll find their products in your kitchen, your gym bag, and your pantry. We are reinventing how they operate, building the foundational layer for decisions across finance, sales, and operations teams.

Our team is nimble yet decisive. We are math and science Olympiad competitors from MIT who went on to lead and build at world-class organizations like Nuro, Glean, Blackstone, and Marshall Wace.

We’re backed by premier Silicon Valley investors and executives of category-defining businesses, including those from Decagon, Cognition, Kalshi, and Uber.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to be one of the first employees. As a Founding Engineer at Pascal, you will deliver modern, agent-first architectures to our customers. Responsibilities include:

  • Building the foundational infrastructure (both single and multi-tenant hosting models).

  • Resolving messy data extraction at terabyte-scale.

  • Designing the primitives for multi-step, memory-intensive agents and their data access policies.

  • Deploying production agents for marquee enterprise customers.

  • Shaping the initial culture of the founding team.

This role will be in-person at our NYC office five days a week.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of engineering experience wrangling with modern server-side and client-side languages.

  • A track record of defining and delivering cross-stack technical designs.

  • Ability to distill outcome-driven customer requirements into clear hypotheses and solutions.

  • A strong debugging intuition when operating in production environments with limited playbooks.

  • An openness to explore and bring new agentic workflows to day-to-day engineering processes.

  • A first-principles, direct, and collaborative mindset.

Bonus points:

  • Familiarity with GCP and Terraform.

  • Familiarity with large-scale document data extraction.

  • Familiarity with search tooling and retrieval methodologies at scale.

  • Own technical engagement with customers and prospects.

  • Willingness to encourage AI-driven workflows in other internal functions.

Benefits

  • $150,000 - $250,000 base salary with significant early-stage equity.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Flexible, unlimited PTO policy.

  • Daily in-office sponsored lunches (and dinners when working late).

  • Workspace accommodations (standing desks, core AI software, etc.)

As the business grows, we want every individual to share in that growth by expanding role opportunities and compensation. We are committed to investing in each team member’s long-term career ambitions.
