Join as a founding full-stack engineer building AI simulation products. Work on web frontend (TypeScript, Next, React), data stacks and scraping, run experiments on simulation engines, and build infrastructure like research tooling, CI/CD, and internal code-review tooling. Focus on scalable data systems or reusable frontend component libraries.

The team is ex-DeepMind, ex-Databricks, and ex-Stanford. We launched the first Gemini API, designed Google Lens, post-trained state-of-the-art coding models, started companies that have been acquired, and been awarded more than 25 patents.
Rehearsals is the only company that builds AI twins of real people. Companies use our technology to predict consumer behavior and reactions at scale, in hours instead of months, with 92% accuracy to what real people would do.
We are backed by a16z (Speedrun Fund), Factorial Fund, and 25madison, along with angel investors from DeepMind and OpenAI including Logan Kilpatrick. Revenue is growing 3x month over month. We work with category leaders across CPG, luxury goods, consumer technology, and gaming.
You will be on the founding team, building your life's work. We hire for four things: ownership, agency, craft, and conscientiousness.
- Build the full-stack experience of how the world will experience the future of AI simulations in a modern web dev stack (TypeScript, Next, React).
- Work on our data stack, including being the in-house expert on data scraping.
- Run experiments to improve our revealed preference and simulation engines.
- Work on infrastructure such as research tooling, CI/CD, and internal code review agents that scales our impact.
We are particularly interested in engineers with strong foundations who have a particular aptitude in either data or frontend. This could include either or both of:
- Architecting extensible and highly performant systems for processing and storing massive datasets at scale.
- Driving the development of beautiful frontends by creating a library of thoughtfully composed, reusable components.
Ultimately your overall capability is the most important thing. Amazing generalists are always exciting to us.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience (open source contributions count).
- A track record of shipping quality software and infrastructure in production.
- Ability to work 5 days in-person in our NYC office.
- Highly competitive pay and equity.
- M4 MacBook Pro.
- Top-tier healthcare, dental, and vision.
- $1,000/month for food and a gym membership.
- Relocation if you are moving to New York.
We are not a 40-hour-a-week company. Everyone here works hard, moves fast, and takes full ownership. We care deeply about what we are building and about building it together.
Want to stand out? Go to rehearsalsresearch.com and go through one of our interviews before we talk. It is the fastest way to feel how we turn real people into twins. Come tell us what you thought.
The base pay range for this role is $140,000 to $500,000 per year.
