About the roleVideoGen is used by 5M+ people in 190 countries. We sell horizontally through PLG (self-serve, many kinds of users), but our core B2B use-cases are marketing video production and training video production. We are hiring a founding growth lead to grow our customer base and improve B2B monetization.
You'll become the in-house expert on our ICPs. You will help us turn early signals into repeatable traction, and scale our marketing budget to $1M/year+ after Series A.
What you'll doAlways:
Use VideoGen the way an ICP would and provide detailed product feedback.
Talk to users, customers, and prospects to capture product and market insights.
Set clear, measurable goals (KPIs, OKRs) and communicate with leadership.
Decide what we do in-house vs with vendors and manage marketing vendor relationships.
Use AI coding agents (e.g., Cursor) to research, run analysis, and build internal tools/automations.
Pre-Series A:
Manage our lightweight marketing channels: Email, SEO, organic, affiliate.
Lead small growth experiments to generate insights or incremental revenue.
Create foundational marketing materials (ICPs, Personas, Sales Decks, etc.).
Post-Series A:
Run a comprehensive marketing loop (SEO, paid social, search, influencers, PR, etc.) to build awareness and drive conversions among our target customers.
Set growth targets with leadership, execute, and hold the team accountable.
Help build and manage a small in-house growth team.
You have an understanding of product-led growth (PLG). You've worked on a self-serve funnel and know what great looks like.
You have experience producing or managing video ads.
You can be an opinionated advocate for our marketer ICPs.
You have founding-level execution and have worked at a small company.
You're comfortable in user/customer conversations.
You have experience with various marketing channels and can learn quickly.
Nice to have: technical SEO or growth engineering, in-house creative at a consumer brand, or having scaled a real paid / influencer / PR budget.
What this role is notNot a media buyer. You will not be growing a large ads budget until our Series A.
